Description of 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z/28

Selling my 87 Camaro IROC Z/28 with the factory L98. 350 Tuned Port Injection motor in it. This a beautiful driving car. that I have gone through front to back to make it drives like a new car. This car sat for 10 years because it needed a fuel pump and the original owner didn't have the means to get it done. In the past year I've replaced the Fuel pump (AC Delco). fuel sending unit. fuel filter. installed a new Dynomax cat back exhaust. installed new front brake calipers. rotors. pads and wheel bearings. installed a new radiator. hoses. belts. alternator. battery. spark plugs. heater blower motor. headlights. IAC motor. coolant temp sensor. Cleaned the throttle body. eplaced the thermostat. Put brand new tires on it. replaced the drivers power seat motor and track. new starter. replaced the T Top center bracket. and installed all new OER T Top seals. The transmission works perfectly. it was rebuilt at one time with a lifetime warranty which I have paperwork for. The shifts are firm and the torque converter locks up as it should. There are NO Check engine lights on and the car runs great. I also have brand new OER door weatherstrips. and window belt moldings that I will include but have not been installed. I have the receipts for all the replaced parts. This rare car has the very rare auto dimming rear view mirror. as well as the overhead console. 4w disc brakes. nd the desirable Borg Warner 9 bolt posi 3:42 rear end. Another interesting feature is the fact that this 87 model. apparently came from the factory with 1988 style wheels. I have a picture when the car was nearly new. and it did in fact have these wheels on it. The original owner says he never changed them. My only guess is that this may have been a late 87 model that was delivered to the dealership with the next years style wheels on it. The option tag wheel option numbers are the same for 87 or 88 so that wasn't helpful in my search for answers. I believe this makes this car even rarer. The Dash is in beautiful condition with NO cracks in it. eats have a few stains. and the drivers seat bolster has rips in the side bolster. Otherwise the interior is not that bad. but not perfect. Factory radio is still in there and works. The odometer says 112. xx miles on it but recently about 3k miles ago. he odometer started moving slowly (a common problem with these cars). and therefore I can be fairly accurate in saying the cars has roughly 115. xx miles on it. What this car needs is a paint job. The top surfaces are very weathered. except for the hood. which I stripped and painted with Spies Hecker. Basecoat Clearcoat. Urethane enamel. The remainder of the vehicle was buffed. and the sides look decent. but the clearcoat is weathered on the front and rear bumper covers. as well as the roof. trunk lid. and rear spoiler. I removed the IROC stripes because they were worn and degraded. The doors have some dings and are not perfect. and the very bottom of the right quarter panel has a bit of rust on the lower wheel lip behind the ground effects. The underside of the car is very clean and rust free on the sheet metal. See the pictures for a better look. Car is pretty clean under there for a 28 year old car. A/C system will work but needs a charge. compressor is not seized. Lastly. the car needs a headliner. the T Tops were leaking when I got the car. and I have yet to buy a replacement headliner (Summit Racing $160. 00) I have a clean title in my name for the car. it is currently registered and insured. I just don't drive it because I have many other cars including a C6 Z06 Corvette. and a WS6 Trans Am among others. I am a true car enthusiast that appreciates cars. and this IROC is something I took pride in fixing up. I would have no reservations about taking it on a long road trip across country. I am very confident in it's mechanical condition. Just don't expect perfect paint and body. but then again. my reserve reflects the need for paint. Fly in and drive it home if you want. I am available if you have questions. Thanks for looking.
