Description of 1984 Chevrolet C-10

Super clean and ready to rock, this 1984 Chevrolet C10 pickup is a fun cruiser that's also extremely practical. With a modern 5.3 liter Vortec V8 with fuel-injection, it's plenty sporty, but it's also capable of hauling the big loads when you need it. If ever there was a time to make your hobby vehicle do double duty, it's today, and this bright red pickup is as at home at the cruise night as it is at the garden center.
Trucks are a booming segment of the hobby, and bring a reasonable price of admission. However, the flip side is that finding a good, clean truck that hasn't been worked to within an inch of its life can be challenging. It appears that this truck has never been a work vehicle, and the condition of the super straight bodywork, particularly the bed, bears this out. With factory-quality gaps and panel alignment throughout, it has probably never had a major accident or any substantial bodywork, and the paint quality suggests that someone truly loved this truck. You won't be sneaking around with that bright red paint, but it stands up to scrutiny and really shows well. For a custom look, the grille, bumpers, and most of the trim have been painted to match and you'll note that the door handles are trick flush-mounted units from a later model and that one detail really gives the truck a custom look. It also offers a fully carpeted bed, a custom 5.3L emblem on the tailgate, and neat little mirrors on the doors.
The interior has seen a recent freshening that includes custom bucket seats with black and red upholstery, new door panels, a custom center console, and a very luxurious attitude. The seats are from a 2004 Silverado and they're firm and comfortable, and the commanding view from the cockpit is one that many folks appreciate only after they've experience a full-sized truck. In fact, almost all of the interior comes from the same Silverado, making this feel much more modern inside. Those white-faced gauges OEM pieces, too, now with cool white faces to make them look custom, and you'll note that this truck is equipped with power windows, a tilt wheel, factory A/C, as well as an AM/FM/CD stereo system. The shifter is from a 2010 Camaro, but thanks to the use of all those OEM parts, it looks right at home. There's even a factory-style mirror with built-in compass and thermometer!
Power comes from Chevy's rugged 5.3 liter Vortec V8, which has been a mainstay in pickups for quite a while. Neatly transplanted to retain OEM functionality, it looks like it was born in there. The engine bay is detailed as if it were an OEM build, with a few bright red accents to tie it all together. With fuel injection, it starts quickly and runs beautifully and can be serviced at any Chevy dealer with no issues at all. The factory 4-speed automatic transmission was also transplanted, as were the Silverado's 4-wheel disc brakes. Thanks to the overdrive transmission, this is a nice highway cruiser that gets surprisingly good gas mileage for a full-sized pickup. Underneath, the chassis is very well finished, with ceramic-coated long-tube headers feeding an X-pipe and throaty mufflers that give it a fantastic soundtrack. The suspension lowered a bit to give it that aggressive rake, which really emphasizes those flashy 17-inch wheels and 275/60/17 performance radials.
Trucks like this represent a fantastic way to get into the hobby, and this one is ready to cruise today. It's heavily modified without being too obvious about it, the interior is comfortable, and you just can't beat a fuel-injected Chevy for reliability. Call today!
