Description of 1988 Chevrolet Corvette |
35th Anniversary Z01 Packaged 1988 Corvette w/31,500 miles
A rare find! An excellent 35th Anniversary Edition, one of only 2,050 produced!!! With its white paint, leather, and painted wheels, this is a truly striking vehicle! If you've ever wanted to own a collector car, then there's no better place to start than with a piece of classic American sports car history like this! If you are looking at this Corvette, then you know what you want! For the majority of it's life the car has been a southern California and Hawaii car until mid 2015.
-31,500 miles and in excellent condition for a 29-year-old Corvette!!! -Have all original papers and books from 1988. Original sticker has been replaced with a reproduction from the Corvette Museum. -Registered as an antique vehicle in Virginia Beach. -NADA in average condition $17,000. Hagerty has shown a price increase of almost 23% since January 2015!! This vehicle will only increase in value. True investment opportunity.
Interior -Carpet, dash, and minor panels replaced in 2008. Original owner did not keep the center console with the manufacture number. All I know is that this car is in the 1900s of 2050. *I have asked the Corvette Museum, yet Chevrolet never tied VINs to anniversary build numbers. -A/C Controller face plate rebuilt in 2013 -Steering column rebuilt in 2014 -Never smoked in -LCD instrument cluster fully functional and bright
Engine Compartment -Distributor and wires upgraded in 2008 -Fuel Injectors upgraded in 2008 -New Serpentine Belt Idler Pulley in 2014 -New Serpentine Belt in 2014 -New wiper motor in 2015
Exterior/Under Body/Suspension -Repainted in 2008 -Front and rear shocks replaced in 2008 -Tires replaced in 2008 at 28,200 miles -C5 Brake Discs and Calipers upgraded in 2008 -Steering rack and pinion replaced in 2014 -Read hatch weather stripping replaced in 2013 -Have both tops;fiberglass and glass
Honest declared minors -Stereo speakers have static. Has never bothered me as I don't use the radio while driving. I would much rather hear the tuned exhaust. -Minor electrical drain that two different corvette shops have not been able to locate. Installed a battery cutoff switch and have never had an issue since. -Rear window heating connection wires have become un-soldered, however is an easy fix.
