Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Black is a good look for first gen Camaros. But to go from Good to Great, takes a lot of hard work. The builder of this car obviously focused a lot of resources on the paint. Well,... the paint, and the interior too. Well,... those two and also the motor. Let's just say that somebody worked hard on this whole build. And it shows.
The black paint on this car is perfect for showing off the smooth lines and uniform gaps between the panels of this Camaro body. White rally stripes are pushed up several inches in order to flow up and over the cowl induction hood. The front of the car looks awesome with those dual headlights and Z/28 badge. A pencil thin chrome bumper underlines the grill, and this car has an extra set of driving lights just above the chin spoiler. There are also Z/28 emblems on the front fenders, along with Camaro in script. Chrome highlights run down the rocker panel and dress out the fender wells, as well as the back edge of the doors. Vent highlights in front of the rear fender look particularly sweet. The rally stripes pick up at the back of the car again, dressing up the trunk and spoiler, with another thin bumper below it. Rally wheels with polished trim rings and Chevrolet wheel centers finish out the look of this car nicely.
Open the door and check out the interior that has been freshly updated throughout, and even smells new. Black is the word of the day here too. Black carpets, upholstery, and headliner. There are thin chrome highlights outlining the horizontally pleated door panel, and a nicely polished sill plate on the rocker adding a splash of flash. The bucket seats have nicely pleated inserts and look brand new. Go ahead, sit down in the driver's seat and feel how good that deep dish, three spoke steering wheel feels in your hands. Directly in front of that wheel are the speedo on the left, and tach on the right, with a sweet set of four white faced gauges tilted up toward the driver in the center console. Now reach for that Hurst shifter that falls easily to hand, and releases the beast when you are ready to. Just tell your passenger to get a hold of that grab handle before you do.
Because this motor is healthy. A neat and clean engine bay cradles a 355-cubic inch power house. The Cowl Induction hood feeds a black air topper sporting a 302 Turbo-fire decal further taking the Z/28 badging all the way. The air picks up fuel in a Holley 4-bbl carb, and is distributed by a polished Weiand intake manifold. Aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM heads get the fuel and air in, and then back out to the long tube headers. Accel Super Stock plugs and wires provide the spark in between to make lots of power. Finned aluminum valve covers help with some oil cooling and look great too. There is more shine with the alternator and mounts, water pump and pulley, all chrome or polished up too. Show and go baby! Power flows back through a 4-speed trans to a 12-bolt rear end, and power front disc brakes provide great stopping power. The rubber meets the road through 215/60R15 tires in the front, and 225/60R15s in the rear, all mounted on those sweet Rally wheels.
Come on down and check out this great build. A lot of work went into it. And it shows.
