Description of 1979 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 |
This is a really nice 2 owner 1979 Chevrolet Silverado 1/2 ton 4-wheel drive pickup, It was loaded from the factory for this year of pickup. It has Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Silverado Package, Special ZY5 paint which came from the factory with Blue Stripes on the hood, but they were not painted on when the truck was restored. It has a 4-speed manual transmission and everything seems to work on the truck. The truck was originally equipped with dual tanks but when the truck was restored 20 years ago, they put a new take-off bed on the truck that only had one fuel filler door. The dual tank is still on the truck and they made up a filler that lets you fill the tank. This truck has brand new 31x10:50x15 tires and they have been road force balanced and the truck drives really nice. We have installed new Front Brake calipers, new rear Brake Cylinders, replaced all of the rubber brake hoses with new General Motors brake hoses. We also packed the front wheel bearings and checked the truck over completely as it had been setting for a while. Call 573-353-3754 We are in California, Missouri and we do have a way of delivering the vehicle if it is paid for in advance. Just remember, if you want to restore a truck, buy one that is already done. This truck is ten times better than most restored trucks and you can just get in this truck and drive it anywhere. What makes this truck better than most is that it has only had two owners and the last one purchased it in 1981. Thanks for looking and we will be adding new parts every Saturday. I am selling 40 years of Chevrolet parts that I have collected. These are all good parts being sold as/is, but they are in good condition. If you do not like the Buy It Now Price, make me an offer, it will not hurt my feelings. We only sell and ship to the 48 lower states. Not to Hawaii and Alaska. These parts are sold AS-IS with no returns, unless we have more than one of the items, at which time we will do an exchange. We are located in California, Missouri which is located in the center of the United States. Most of the items we ship can be shipped on UPS which is the carrier we use. They provide tracking numbers and $100.00 of insurance at no extra charge on each part. We charge a $2.00 handling fee, but don’t charge for boxes or packing that we use in the boxes. We use the E-bay calculator whenever possible. We accept PayPal or credit cards. We have sold an old building and need to get rid of all parts. We are also selling old race car parts as well as Corvette, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova and other miscellaneous parts. We reserve the right to list and cancel any listings in accordance with E-bay auction guidelines. Missouri residents will pay the sales tax rate that applies in California, MO unless you have a sales tax exemption form that qualifies in the state of Missouri. We are not vintage parts experts, but will try to describe the part to the best of our knowledge. Some parts may need adjustments, or in the case of a used part, minor repairs. We will always answer any e-mails regarding the condition of our part. If any part is damaged in shipment, the buyer needs to contact UPS and have them inspect the package and the part. The part must be returned to me before refunds will be made. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us if they would like more than the standard $100.00 of insurance. You may also pick up the part at the dealership and will not be charged freight or a handling fee if you would like to do this. Thank YOU! |
