Description of 1964 Chevrolet Impala |
1964 Impala 2 door hardtop sport coupe white with red interior.V8 283 cid. 2 bbl Rochester carburetor.2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The red interior is original and in good condition with fading from the sun. The driver's seat stitching came loose and lost some stuffing. Also, passenger door panel missing the bottom trim (see pics for details).I've owned it for 5 years and stored it indoors and out of the elements. I drive it periodically all through Spring,Summer and Autumn. It currently IS in driving/operating condition. The body is in good shape for it's age. I have done ZERO bodywork on this car. The trunk pan has surface rust but solid. I assume the same for floor pan (under the rear bench is solid no rust). The problem areas on the body are listed from MOST severe to LEAST Severe, in my opinion (former Journeyman auto body refinisher). And documented in listing pictures. Both taillight buckets pannel rusted through. Both quarter panels are cracked/rusted through under sail panel Rust starting on the bottom of the left front fender well. Rust starting on the bottom of the right front fender well Rust starting on the bottom of the right rear quarter panel wheel well. Decklid rusty and no lock not original but, its OEM sheet metal. Hood slightly dinged @ front badge and rusting on the other side/inside of the hood. Very slight body work needs to be redone on right rear quarter panel. Missing IMPALA letters and badge on the right rear quarter panel. The only history I have on this car is that it HAS been refinished but, even before the previous owners so, unknown when. Also, it was in a low impact rear end that resulted in decklid replacement and amateurbodywork on the right rear quarter panel which caused the hood damage previously mentioned. The transmission pan gasket leaks but operates very well. The engine runs very smooth.Valve covers are starting to leak and water pumpbearinghas wurrand will need replacing. It will have the fourth with adapterand spinner but no tire. The wheels are three aftermarket 13" true knock off wire wheels (not Daytons) cheapies. With a bolt on 13" wirewheel spare. This is a highly collectiblecar and in need of restoration but it's a solid car.The title is clear and in hand. Please ask any questions and I'll do mybest to answer.Sold as is and the buyer is responsible for pick up.Please read the WHOLE listing. No buyers with less than 10 transactions on eBay.I reserve the right to decline any sale at any time. |
