Description of 1955 Chevrolet Other 2-Door

1955 Chevrolet custom 210 Very cool 2-door Wagon, fully restored resto-mod Wagon. Black w/Gray interior. 400ci small block/700R4 automatic transmission. Beautiful frame off restoration!A bit of history . . . The Nomad was a unique station wagon model made off and on from 1955 to 1972. It’s best remembered in its Tri-Five (’55-’57), two-door form, and was considered a halo model during its three-year production as a two-door station wagon. The ’55 Chevrolets received all-new styling. Advertised as “The Hot... One,” the boxy new Chevy was crisp, clean, and thoroughly modern-looking, and its popularity was shared with the ’55-’57 Chevy’s of this generation. Nomads, like Bel Airs, came loaded with interior carpet, chrome spears on front fenders, chrome window moldings, and full wheel covers. However, though the Nomad got most of the attention, there were other trim levels available. For instance, the 210. The Two-Ten or 210 was the midrange model and was built from 1953 to 1957. It took its name by shortening the production series number (2100) by one digit in order to capitalize on the 1950s trend toward numerical auto names. The numerical designation ‘”210?‘ was also sporadically used in company literature. It replaced the Styleline DeLuxe model available in previous years. The Two-Ten was discontinued after the 1957 model year. This trim level was available on the 2 door wagon as well, which leads us to the featured car . . .This very cool ’55 210 has benefited from a complete, nut and bolt, body off restoration. Though it’s far from being stock! Starting out as an “old school” custom, the wagon was updated to resto-mod status and features a 400ci small-block with mild cam that makes it an excellent driver, Vintage a-c, power steering, disc brakes, tilt steering column, custom wheels, custom gauges, custom audio system, custom interior and much more make is an understated, but beautiful ’55. Documentation includes a binder showing the transformation from old-school to new with color photos.
