Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. I am proud to offer one of the finest cars I have ever found and I am excited to make someone's dream car become a reality. In 1988 I was 13 years old, and my dad bought a 1986 Camaro IROC-Z hardtop. I can remember riding around in that car like it was yesterday, and all of my friends were so jealous when my dad would pick me up after the various sports practices atmy school. If you were a teenager in the 80's like I was, then you remember how much EVERYONE wanted an IROC-Z. Here we are, 30 years later, and this is your chance toget into a time capsule and re-live your youth!

This is a 1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z convertible.I recently purchased this car from an elderly widow who's husband passed away last year. This was his car, and as asteel executive from Pittsburgh, he would use this car to drive to his condo in Florida in the summer. This car has been meticulously cared for and maintainedsince Day One, and it shows. This isone of the finest original cars I have ever found. This car turned 30 years old this year, and it looks like it rolled out of the showroom yesterday. Are you looking to go back in time and have some fun in a car that represents your youth? Can you imagine rolling into your local car cruise or, better yet, your 1988 high school reunion in this car? This one is theIROC you have been looking for. I would like to make it very clear that this car is to be consideredin "investment grade" condition.....meaning that it will never go down in value if it is maintained. The prices on these cars continue to go up every year. You can drive and enjoy this car, and watch it double or triple in value over the next 5-10 years. This is a rare opportunity to have fun and grow your investment at the same time.

This particular car is powered by the 5.0 liter Tuned Port Injection engine and is backed by the 700R4 automatic transmission. These engines put out well over 300 ft/lbs of torque, so they have plenty of power, yet they are very smooth and actually do surprisingly well with gas mileage. This carhas travelled only 47000 miles since new, and it runs and drives like a brand new car. Everything works, and there are simply no mechanical issues. The engine bay is clean enough to eat off of. It hasn't been steam cleaned or Armor-All'd.....that's just how perfectly clean it was the day I bought it. This one has definitely been babied it's entire life. You get in, turn the key, and rumble away without worrying. It hugs the road and rides like a dream. The steering is tight and precise. All the cars I sell come with a fresh tune-up and oil change, so all you have to do is get in and drive and enjoy yourself......and this one is no exception.

The interior of this car is a marvel in it's own right. The tan interiors of these cars, while very strikingly beautiful, are very susceptible to fading and/or staining. Very rarely do you find an IROC with an originaltan interior that isn't ruined.....but once again, as with the rest of the car, this interior is in nearly immaculate condition. I don't know how the original owner kept the interior so perfect, but my hat is off to him, because he did a great job keeping it pristine. Everything works inside the car, as expected. It has power locks, power windows, and even a power driver seat. The convertible top is in perfect condition, as you would expect. The doors open and shut smoothly. The interior will no doubt "wow" everyone who sees it. It is gorgeous and is a testament to how well this car was maintained.

The exterior of this IROC-Z is what really makes the car. The original Bright Flame Red paint isglossy and smooth, and is beautifully accented bygold striping, IROC-Z callouts on the doors, andpolished aluminum 16" wheels with goldeninserts. The convertible top is the expensive and classy black cloth. The car has a few very tiny chips here and there that were touched in over the last 30 years, but they are barely even noticeable enough to mention. The wheels show a tiny amount of clearcoat imperfections but they still look great. The body is straight and all gaps are perfect. The car retains it's original "VIN stickers"on it's body panels, so you know it's never been wrecked. It also has a cleanCARFAX report. There is absolutely ZERO rust on the body anywhere, as the car was always garaged and only used sparingly in the summer. This is one of the finest examples of an original IROC-Z that you will ever find in this color combination. The car justlooks absolutely stunning. The pictures simply do not do it justice.

All in all, what we have here is one of the most sought-after and iconiccars of the 1980's. Here we all are 30 years later, and these IROC-Z's are suddenly a great reminder of all the fun times we had in our youth. There was nothing better than cruising around in your Camaro, listening to rock and roll and enjoying life in a much simpler time. This car is a time capsule that you will absolutely love and enjoy!
