If Knight Rider were made in the '90s, this would be the car. After all, this is a 1991 Chevrolet Corvette convertible that's draped in so much slick black over every inch that even the wheels and the optional hardtop have a midnight attitude. But beyond the appeal of its looks, you're going to discover a classic American sports car that has received all the right investments to give it all the right modern appeal. This Corvette really does grab... attention. The factory-correct black was given a professional respray about two-thirds through its life, and the investment in quality still shows in the high-gloss finish today. Plus, there has been the right effort to give this car a custom look without going eccentric. The black 17-inch ZR-1 wheels, black luggage rack that also integrates a rear spoiler, and the black removable hardtop all help create a total package that is both unique and intimidating. But more than just careful additions, you'll love this car because you can tell someone cared for it correctly. The way the doors shut with authority, the flush fit of the headlights, and the sharply creased body edges that make the C4 legendary are all pieces that tell you this Corvette has been respected from day one. While we love the way this one looks with the hardtop in place, when it's removed, it reveals an even more desirable black interior - after all, rarely do you find something more desirable than a triple-black classic. The leather seats were replaced within the last year, and so they know how to hug your body from the moment you sit down. Plus, they power adjust to make sure you get the perfect driving position. Another great upgrade is a modern AM/FM/CD stereo with amplified speakers. As expected from a premium sports car, this one comes loaded with power windows, power locks, cruise control, power steering, and a driver's airbag. Plus, the automatic climate control is there to keep you enjoying top-down motoring into the summer season. But if the weather does unexpectedly turn, you've always got the black folding soft top to keep everything secure. More evidence of a good ownership is in the engine bay. The 350 cubic-inch L98 motor is the same one that was installed at Bowling Green, Kentucky, and it still runs like a thoroughbred. That's because this original motor was rebuilt about 20k miles ago. It's also been upgraded with an MSD ignition, K&N air filter, and a rumbling sports exhaust. Out on the road you'll feel the difference in this C4 as the four-speed automatic now has a 2500 RPM stall converter. Plus, there's newer Koni shocks and the four-wheel disc brakes have been upgraded with drilled rotors. This is added to the power steering, anti-lock brakes, and a fully independent sports suspension, to make sure that this sinister dark car is capable of some devilish moves. Complete with owner's manual, this Corvette is a terrific classic. Just like Knight Rider, it looks mean from the first impression, but it has been upgraded to be your hero in disguise. So don't let this affordable midnight machine slip away. Call now!
