Description of 1963 Chevrolet Impala |
Check this one out. 1963 Chevy Impala SS, factory 327 4sp car. Not a lot to do on this one to it ready to go. Done right, with the right stance, and tire and wheel combo, the 63 Impala looks pretty sweet. The Impala was factory white with red interior, and from what I can tell, still shows to have some of the original paint. At some point, the original red interior was removed, and replaced with blue seats and door panels. The fist part of the VIN #31847******, fire wall tag, trim 875, paint 936, Acc. E-C-Y-G. You get a great ride with an awesome looking car. This Impala has very nice floors. Other than some surface patina, they are solid and probably will not need replaced. Both rockers are in great shape, the lower quarters, front left door, and back section of fender is starting to show some signs of blistering under the paint. From what I can tell, the trunk pan has a few small rust areas, but the upper trunk floor is still in great shape. What this car saves you on rust repair, allows you a quicker turn around and back on the streets. The body appears to be pretty straight, but does have some light hail damage on the roof and trunk. As you can see in the pics, I am missing some of the trim, (long pieces that run the length of the quarter, trunk trim, and left front fender trim. The interior trim looks to be mostly complete, I have the back glass trim, just didn't get it in the pics. I am sure I have missed a few pieces and they will need to round up by the next owner. The engine bay appears to be pretty clean, (motor and trans are no longer with the car) but I do have some SBC's and a 4sp that would not be numbers matching for additional cost. All the wiring still appears to be in good shape, cross member and core support are good, font end components are complete and the tires hold air long enough to get it loaded. If you are looking for a good solid, minimal rust and body repair project, then don't let this one pass you up. I have submitted for a good Kansas title, just waiting on it to make it through the system. I can send more pics upon request. |
