1960 Corvette ROADSTER Vehicle Description 1960 Chevrolet Corvette Low Mileage Roadster Cars for sale like this Corvette are hard to come by! The Original Bill of Sale shows that it was built in 1959 and was originally equipped with a rare 3 speed transmission. 283 cubic inch 230 horsepower engine and 4 barrel carburetor. This unusual vehicle was one of the first to come with original factory power brakes. power windows. removable black hardtop. a white convertible fold-up soft top. deluxe heater. two seatbelts. emergency brake warning. Wonder Bar radio and courtesy lights. The original brake master cylinder needs to be rebuilt and was removed and all parts saved for future restoration. The brakes are currently manual style and work well. All 5 steel wheels. including spare with scissor jack. have been powder coated with 5 new white wall tires. The car drives very well and the engine runs beautifully (please see video below). Interior is original very nice red leather seats in excellent condition. The black exterior paint is original with slight spider webbing and very few small scratches and the good looking chrome is 100% original. I’ve been advised not to ever paint over the original paint because it devalues the vehicle. All original gauges work and consist of a temperature gauge. tachometer. gas gauge. odometer and speedometer. The emergency lights and windshield wipers also are original and work well. Since my purchase. car storage has been in a protected and heated building. This Corvette has never been in an accident. fender bender or collision and all vehicle identification numbers (VIN) are matching and legible. Mileage of 44. 600 is original and there have been only 3 owners of this car. including me. The previous owner reported that he purchased this car from the first buyer. a cardiologist in Boston. in 1982 with 35. 00 original miles. This man had traded his 1958 Pontiac hard top towards purchase of this car for a value of $2059. which is on the invoice. Both the first and second owners have stored this car indoors. This 1960 Corvette is very rare and hard to come by with its original documentation and paperwork. When I purchased this car. the previous owner stated that with these car equipment options. including factory power brakes. that there were less than five total production cars like this built!
