Description of 1933 Chevrolet Other |
This a well-preserved 1933 Chevy truck. It is a late series model so it looks like a 1934 model. but I have added better brakes from a 1935 model. It was used as a grain truck on a farm in Kansas and then stored inside for many years and then underwent an amateur restoration about ten years ago. It was kept outside after the restoration. The sheet metal is sound but has a few small dings and dents. especially the fenders. All wood was new as was the upholstery. glass. and tires. It has a later 1937 Chevy engine in good condition which had the main and rod bearings replaced as well as the rings and valves. but there is a crack in the outer water jacket which does not affect operation. The crack has been sealed so it leaks very little. Has an alternator and is a 12 volt system. Every bearing and seal in the drive train was replaced with new items. The clutch is new. The paint is urethane and green in color and was part of an amateur restoration. A lot of extra parts are included. especially brake parts and two wheels. All gauges are working except for the original ammeter but the replacement works fine. |
