Description of 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Chrome |
1969 Chevrolet Corvette with 1973 front clip with cowl hood. Car is an early 1980's hot rod, the car vin and engine block match but car has parts from a different year Corvette The car runs and drives all the lights work except the brake lights don't work at times, I think it might be a ground issue. The transmission shifts hard but it has an aggressive shift kit in it. It runs a little rough but the 2" exhaust is restricting the motor. Has small coolant leak at the thermostat housing I have a new one I just have not installed it. Picked this car up from neighbor after her husband passed away. The car sat from the late 1990's until late 2016. Her late husband was a circle track racer and his friends got the car up and running for his widow so she could drive the car one last time before she retired and moved south. The car was originally setup as a hot rod, running alcohol with automatic and side pipes. When the car was returned to running condition the side pipes were bad and removed and the original motor block with a Lunati cam was installed. His friends used parts they had to get the car running, 2" exhaust, Holley 650 carb, & brakes were rebuilt. The tires are like new but have flat spots you can feel while driving. I bought the car as a project and don't have the time to work on it. The differential is a 3.70 and the drivers side seal is leaking, I picked up a 3.08 differential from a 1973 Corvette I was going to install to make car more drive able at high way speeds. I also picked up trailing arms from the same car. The ac compressor is not installed but I have it and both mounting brackets. The wheels on the car are Western Wheel Turbines, I pick up a set of 15x8 rally wheels from the 1973 Corvette I got the differential from. They are in good shape but the stainless beauty rings have some curb rash and will need to be filed and polished. I have an Edelbrock intake and a 1977 Rochester carb ( carb is rebuilt but has some surface rust from sitting) I was going to install so I could remount the cowl intake air cleaner. I also have a used set of Weland valve covers, the engine has roller rockers so standard valve covers will not fit. I have a new distributor, wires, & plugs for the car. The new distributor is for a mechanical tach, the one installed on the car is not and the tach gauge is not currently working. I also have new shocks, and 2 1/2" exhaust manifolds for the engine, the 2" exhaust is restricting the engine. The clock gauge and battery gauge are not working, the fuel gauge works but its jumpy. The factory alarm is not working. Interior is in good shape seats and trim show some age, carpet is new. The T-tops, rear window, and doors need new weather striping. Has worn original T-Tops pouches a storage bag for the T-Tops. Has jack and lug wrench. The body paint is in so so condition with a couple small areas with damage on the fiberglass. See the photos. Odometer says around 54000 miles, I have know way of knowing or guaranteeing the mileage. Car is as is. Message me if you have any questions, I will send you my phone number. If your local arrangements can be made for you to view and drive the car. Deposit of $500.00 is due with in 48 hours at the completion of the auction or the car will be relisted. |
