Description of 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza

For sale is my 1963 Corvair Monza 900 Convertible. This is probably, at least arguably, the nicest Corvair in the country. It is fully and profesionally restored including new paint in the rare, original color, new interior fronm Clark's Corvairs, new engine rebuild on the original engine, and the Corvair Powerglide automatic transmission.
In addition to this, it has factory air conditioning, which works, and a power top. These options make this car extremely rare as almost no one put AC on an inexpensive convertible in the 1960's. It cost almost a quarter of the car's retail price so very few did it. These options make the car extremely enjoyable to drive today and with its high performance engine, it is easy to keep up with modern traffic . High performance with only 102 HP sounds like bragging, but this was the highest horsepower available for the Corvair in 1963 and with only 2300 lbs to push and no drive shaft to soak up horsepower, it drives like a modern car with much more power. Also, with the engine in the rear and no weight on the front tires, it feels just like power steering does on today's cars.
It is the most beautiful Corvair I have ever seen and I've owned a lot of them over the years. It is restored to a very high degree and the paintwork is fabulous. You will be the only one at a car show with a Corvair of this quality and as rare as this one is. Rare also for a Corvair, it has NO rust anywhere. It is the only Corvair I have ever seen with a complete and untouched battery box.
I have more pictures which I will post later and can send additioal pictures along upon request. I just didn't have them downloaded to my computer yet.
This car is unusual, highly regarded for its collectibility and has a value according to Hagerty of over $26,000 in this market and in its condition. It can only appreciate as Corvairs are becoming more desireable as collectibles and as the availability of cars like this one become harder and harder to find. And remember, when the top goes down, the price goes up.
Car can stay in a covered garage until picked up so no pressure there. Deposit due at close of auction and full payment due within 7 days. Wire transfer, cashier's check, or cash is acceptable. Thanks for bidding and you will love this car.
