Description of 1976 Chevrolet Blazer Cheyenne Trailering Special |
NO RESERVE AUCTION! Highest Bidder takes it. I'vehad this Blazer since 2015. Prior to that it was in the California desert for most if not all of it's life. The previous owner started the restoration with an engine rebuild, power steering pump, alternator, battery, door and window seals, new paint job and the majority of the interior (carpet, upholstery etc) I had planned on keeping it and gradually finishing the restoration over the coming years but an unplanned relocation came up and I can't take it with me. The rear white cap is removable if you like but I've never had it off. It originally had AC and California emissions that were removed at some point. Here is a partial list of what's been done since in my possession: All front end components and alignment. ( Ball joints, tie rods, sway bar bushings, steering damper etc) Power steering gear box,rag joint and fluid filter. Water pump Engine fan and clutch. Starter Plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, ignition module. Air/oil/fuel/transmission filters. All cooling and heater hoses. New belts. All new brakes front and rear including pads, shoes, calipers, rotors, drums and hardware. Master Cylinder. New shocks front and rear. New front and rear wheel bearings and seals. Rear differential fluid change. Complete new dual exhaust system including exhaust mainifolds to tailpipes. New rear window felt seal. New front bump stops. Brand new 15 inch white spoke wheels with brand new BF Goodrich 33 x 12.5 x 15 tires. New headlight switch, vintage knob and floor dimmer switch. New universal joints. New chrome dash vents and gauge cluster lens. New drivers side door hinges I'm sure there's some things I've left out. Lots of small items too numerous to mention as well. ALL of these components have 200 miles or less as this stays in my garage unless I'm taking it to have work done or just a short outing to run it every now and then and keep everything lubricated/rotated etc. Where I left off on the restoration: I have a vintage original steering wheel I bought on eBay for $125 in great shape that goes with the truck as well as a gauge cluster that I paid $225 for on eBay as well . The tach and temp gauge were left disconnected by the previous owner when he rebuilt the moto, I have no idea why but I didn't get around to addressing those because I figured on replacing the wiring harness and gauges as the restoration moved forward. Other than the filter I have done nothing with the transmission or transfer case. (Shifts and drives smooth). I don't know the previous history of it. The truck runs and drives good. There is nothing major to my knowledge that needs to be done, I guess it depends on what level of restoration one desires as to how much is left to do. but if I had to put a number on it I'd say it's about 70% done. Keep in mind this truck was manufactured 43 years ago and you can look here on eBay and see fully restored they are going between $25,000 to $65,000. I have over $20k invested. Im letting it go to the highest bidder because my house sold much quicker than expected and I need to be gone and the Blazer sold very soon. One of the pictures shows the receipts I've amassed and I'm sure I'm missing some lol. That's all I can think of, I've tried to paint the most accurate honest picture I can for you. Its far from perfect but its had a lot of work put into bringingbit back.Feel free to ask questions if you have any. If you need to have this shipped, I live just a few miles from a big truck stop. I have no problem meeting your shipping company truck there once you have scheduled with them. Non-refundable $500 deposit due immediately after auction ends via PayPal. Full balance due within 3 days by cash or wire transfer. Cashier's check accepted but must be verified CLEARED by bank before truck will be released. |
