Description of 1971 Chevrolet Other

1971 Chevy Camper Van. 350 automatic. I purchased it last year and swapped out a seized engine. The guy who did the work did a poor job. The engine appears to run nice from what I can tell. however the battery doesn't charge (which someone pointed out it is probably an issue with the alternator). The engine is a 350 and I think out of an 80's Chevy pickup. When I drove it home. there was a loud screeching. I'm no mechanic. I can only assume that's the alternator screeching. The body is in pretty good shape. There are a couple dents here and there. a little rust. a couple pieces missing. the sealing work around the fiberglass top is a little sloppy. Door latches are quirky. but locks work fine. The previous owner did put a lot of money into this truck. Tires are excellent. but just 2 hubcaps. Glass is perfect. Front cabin is gorgeous. repainted and new rubber matting. etc. Cracked steering wheel is only issue I see. Back has been stripped of cabinets and appliances. The water closet. toilet is still standing. It was being converted to an Ice Cream Truck. but I have an offer to do a real shop. This could possibly make an awesome Bike Hauler. Food Truck.
