Description of 1954 Chevrolet Other Shortbed |
This 5-window Chevy pickup would make a great Hot Rod Power Tour vehicle! This street rod pickup sits on a TCI custom chassis that turns this pickup into a true street rod; no front clips from junked GM cars welded to a 50’s frame or flimsy S-10 frame here! The TCI chassis is fully boxed and braced, has a power Mustang II rack and pinion, four wheel power discs brakes, frame mounted pedals and brake booster and rear under-bed fuel tank. The chassis rides on 17 inch Foose Legend wheels with 245/45/17’s. The engine is a new 350 ZZ4 with 355 HP and 400 ft-lbs of torque dressed with classic finned valve covers, chrome alternator and air conditioner compressor and aluminum pulley kit. The ZZ4 is mated to a new 700R4 transmission and Ford 9 inch with 300 gears and GM hubs for great performance and street ability. The engine has a nice cam lick and throaty tone with ceramic headers and new exhaust with Flowmaster 40’s. The TCI chassis, 350 ZZ4, 700R4 and wheels and tires would cost almost $20k just to purchase, not counting assembly costs. This GM Victory Red street rod pickup combines the best of both 1953 and 1954 Chevy pickups. The front grill and fenders are 1953 coupled with a 1954 5-window cab with one piece windshield, eliminating the seam and possible leaks and clouding from two-piece windshields. The bed is super clean straight and slick with a classic Coca-Cola cooler that hides the battery and has a flush-mounted billet gas filler. All chrome on the truck is new, including the grill and bumpers and all glass is new. The interior has custom tan buckets, headliner and coordinating carpet that work perfectly with the red exterior. The gauges are new and accurate showing only 454 miles on the pickup. All gauges, lights, blinkers, flashers, etc. work as they should. The air conditioner blows nice and cold. I never added a radio and intended to add a radio delete plate to cover the opening at the bottom of the dash but never found one so there is room for a radio if you desire. The body is solid and straight but there are a couple of scratch repairs on the passenger running board, a chip at the driver’s upper door hinge (inside the jamb) and another on the left at the rear beside the tailgate near the tail light bracket. This is a great driving, good looking street rod pickup that anyone would be proud to take on the Power Tour or to your local cruise in and the reserve is lower than you would think. Clear Tennessee title The seller reserves the right to end the sale as the truck is also for sale locally.
