Back by popular demand is our 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Rampside. Only 851 of these were made in 1964 making this one of the rarer Corvairs. This truck is running strong and believed to have been restored sometime in the 90s. Most of these trucks for sale currently are unrestored and require lots of work to get back on the road. This one is a driver quality truck that is turn-key ready. The interior was changed from its original fawn (tan)... color to match the blue paint on the outisde, the lighter colored "belt" paint on the outside was changed from a lighter color to its current dark blue color. These trucks are unique because of the air-cooled engines riding in the rear below the bed which is why it has different levels. In order to make access to the deep part of the bed Chevrolet designed this truck to include a ramp on the passenger side of the truck. These ramps are rated for 1,000-pound capacity while the load rating is 3/4 ton. This made the trucks popular with the Bell phone company because the ramps made loading the cable drums easy. After 54 years this rare beauty is looking nice and running strong. Give us a call with any questions at 408-385-2502.
