Description of 1972 Chevrolet Blazer K5 Blazer 4WD |
This car is part of the Allen H. Dieringer estate collection. We (the family) have sold a dozen vehicles in the past few weeks and have a few more to liquidate. Please visit www.dieringercollection.com to register for email updates as new listings become available and/or add me as a favorite seller. NOTE: We are NOT a motor vehicle dealer. This is a liquidation of an estate and our top priority is to get the highest price possible. We will not consider any trades, any cash offers outside of the ebay auction, nor can we assist with financing. If you have specific questions, I will do my best to get an answer, but due to the nature of this being an estate sale, full history and details of every vehicle may not be available to us. Please review my 20 year ebay rating and bid with confidence. If anything, I'll be guilty of under describing these cars. All vehicles are located in Yoakum, TX and may be seen by appointment during the auction. Please view the vehicles in person or have a third party inspector view them BEFORE you bid. The vehicles you buy will be made available for easy pickup by your shipper. I will mostly answer emails in the evenings after work, so be patient. I will respond to everyone. Mr. Dieringer had completed a frame-on restoration a few years ago, and this truck has been in storage since. It is a 4WD, K5 Blazer with 350, automati, PS, PB, and factory air (compressor locked up). The interior is very clean, and all original other than a late model steering wheel. The dash pad, dash paint, carpet, upholstery, etc. are all in very good condition, and correct. The removable top is very clean with no cracks, with the exception of the hinges on the back glass (they are stiff and possibly will break if forced open). The paint on the truck is very shiny and is a repaint of what we believe to be the original color. There are several nicks and scrapes on paint, but it still looks great as you can see in the photos. Our mechanic has the truck running, and the we've confirmed the 4WD works. Mechanically, the engine starts and does not smoke, but after sitting a few years, likely will need some attention. Also, the undercarriage is damp, so assume there are oil leaks, but I'm not sure if it is the engine, trans, or both. Mr. Dieringer was a fan of "all original" vehicles, and this one is no exception. The truck truly is a looker, with a great color and correct interior, etc. Several locals have been waiting on this truck to go on auction, so be diligent with your questions, and please make arrangements to view in person if possible, or send an inspector if you like. And remember, this truck is 45 years old, so there may be things I missed, but none of our other buyers have been disappointed. Thanks and good luck! NOTE: I've sold every vehicle listed so far, so bid knowing that the reserve is modest and we expect to sell the truck on the first try. All sales are final and you will have 24 hours from end of the auction to send a $1,000.00, non-refundable deposit via PayPal, with balance to be paid in cash, in person, or by bank wire transfer at your expense within 7 days of auction end. You will have 30 days to pick up your purchase in Yoakum. Please message for potential alternate payment options. Bidders with eBay ratings below +10 are subject to removal without prior approval. There will be a modest reserve on all vehicles we list for sale, but we intend to sell, so bid early and often with confidence, but be sure to ask your wife first! Message me with further questions. Thank you and good luck! On Jul-16-18 at 16:48:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had several requests for more information, so here you go. I got this truck out of the warehouse yesterday and took quite a few photos underneath as well as a photo of the build sheet in the glove box. If you will copy and paste the link below into your browser, it will take you to a Google Photo folder with all the extra pics. Here is what I'd like to update after looking at and driving the Blazer again yesterday. |
