The 4th Generation of the Impala dominated the full size model market with record sales. In 1967, although still considered 4th gen, the Impala was redesigned with enhanced "Coke Bottle" styling with featured Corvette-inspired front and rear fender bulges. Far and away, Chevrolets best selling model, the Impala came in six different forms: 4-door station wagon, 4 door sedan,... 4 door hardtop, 2 door hard top, 2 door coupe and the 2 door convertible. The top of the line was the SS 427 Convertible which consisted of the L-36 427 385 horsepower engine and SS trim package. These full size top down cruisers were coveted by many but afforded by few and were known to chew up enormous amounts of pavement in short amounts of time all while delivering a most excellent ride quality. The 1967 Chevrolet Impala Convertible offered here is a true SS 427 according to the owner. This SS 427 Convertible is an absolutely stunning, show quality example.
