Description of 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 |
Greetings Camaro enthusiasts from Ontario, Canada. I am offering for sale my 1973 Camaro Z28. This is a fine example of an unrestored Canadian car that has never been winter driven and that has spent most if not all of its life stored indoors. Never left exposed to the elements or to languish in a barn - this car has been pampered since leaving its original owner in 1992. The body panels are original and rust free as are the floors, frame and trunk. The paint is 90% original in code 42 dark green and shows incredibly well for being 45 years old. The black interior (code 775) is near mint with no rips or tears and the dash is immaculate. The M21 and 10 bolt positraction rear end are original to the car, however the gears have been changed to 4:10 from the original 3:73. The motor is not original to the car, having been swapped out by the original owner prior to 1992. The engine is a high performance 350 L82 4 bolt main and was rebuilt in 2014. Features include a Big Muther Thumper cam, aluminum GM Winters Z28 intake #3959594 and Holley carb. Also installed at the same time were new BFG radial T/As and a Flowmaster American Thunder stainless steel dual exhaust. This car sounds amazing - just like a zapper should. I have owned this car for 15 years and it is time for me to move on to other interests. I have the complete owner history, documentation to verify the original mileage - currently 40,826 miles, the GM of Canada documentation as well as the original bill of sale and warranty plate from Maurice Carter Chev-Olds in Hamilton, ON. This car has been driven although sparingly and is in excellent mechanical condition, licensed and on the road. Please note the following additional information.I am a private seller and do not have a stable of cars - this is my one and only. When this car was being resold in 1992 the original hood had a hole cut out of it and a hood scoop added. The buyer at that time did not like that look so the hood was replaced at that time and remains on the car today. The paint on this hood is not original but is a close match. The car also retains some Day 2 mods from the original owner such as frame connectors, traction bars, a drive loop, the Monster tach and additional gauges mounted above the centre console. The factory tach and gauges are working normally. The rope steering wheel was added by myself and I do have the correct wheel if that is preferred. The original and unused full size spare remains in the trunk along with the complete jack assembly. All stainless trim is original, bright and rust free as are the front and rear bumpers. Note the rear window defogger and non hideaway wipers are rare. No missing parts - nothing to search for - complete turn key car awaiting a new owner. I will gladly answer any questions about this car that may not be covered in the description above.I reserve the right to end this ad early as the car is for sale locally.A $1000 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of using the Buy It Now option.Balance due within 7 days unless otherwise negotiated - car will not leave my possession until I receive payment in full.Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
