Description of 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Base 427 BB Convertible |
Project 1969 Corvette convertible, 427 BB for sale, includes hardtop. Unexpected circumstances force sale - almost $36k invested - yours for only $21,000 or best offer. Michigan car now located here in Texas - barn find and most metal underneath was rust ... so, many new parts include: Matching numbers VIN #, though frame destroyed - rusted throughout. Includes almost all new metal parts for underneath car: powder-coated replacement frame and all metal underneath, including all new suspension, calibers/brake parts, gas tank/sensor, brake lines, gas tank, etc. Have most replacement steering components, but have rack and pinion system by SpeedDirect to install. Also have sway bars front and back. Engine professionally rebuilt - see pic for build sheet - beautiful build, with aluminum heads, would replace intake manifold and oil pan if I were you. 4-barrel Rochester carb, but I was planning on adding FAST electronic fuel injection. Your choice when you get it. I have most parts that attach to engine, including new water pump, balancer, gas tube, etc. I have original radiator and replacement aluminum radiator. New 3.91 ratio rear end - rebuilt 4-speed, new drive axle & half-shafts. I have stripped 6-7 layers of paint of body and hardtop. Rear panel replaced in order to convert to side exhaust. Yes, new short headers, side exhaust and exhaust covers still in the box. Front clip repairable, but decided it needed a new front clip, so that is sitting in the shipping box ready to unpack. Replacement doors are half built; all pieces available. I have replacement pieces for most all the small exterior chrome pieces - door handles, rear view mirrors, some trim, emblems, etc. Larger pieces such as bumper, in good shape, your choice to replace. No convertible top Add it up - you can easily see over where the $36K is ... I hate to sell it, but time restrictions and growing medical limitations forcing quick sale. Make a good offer - and it is yours. Car sold as is. I did my best to give you the general picture -- but feel free to ask questions. Buyer responsible for pick-up and shipping; would like to see it gone soon - will work with you on delivery, but limited by surgery. Located in West Texas (San Angelo) and can be available at anytime for pick-up. I am advertising locally, so it could go quick. First accepted offer gets it - $1000 down with the remainder to follow by Paypal or money transfer. Thanks NOTE: Answer to question "what is the car's status? Just to make it clear: Fully body pics are what it looked like before taking it apart -- all rust underneath. SO all new metal. It is now in pieces. Body parts stripped and stored at a friend (painter's) place; the engine stored at EPM and the rest in storage unit. Frame partially built, most pieces boxed up. It shouldn't take much to make it a rolling chassis. Mostly, you have all the parts to get it painted and power train built. Photos attached show it when I bought it and the pieces in the garage before I moved it to a storage unit (house sold). So, what it looks like today are frame and large parts plus boxes of pieces (radiator, gas tank, brake lines, steering, calipers, etc. still in shipped boxes; body parts are stacked/stored at friend's work shop along with front clip still in the ~4'x8'x10' shipping container,; and engine on engine stand at builder's. I do have an engine hoist and stand that come with the car. I'm adding a few more pictures -- some are copies, but essentially it is now boxed up in a storage unit. Ready to take a reasonable offer |
