Description of 1965 Chevrolet Other --

BECAUSE LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRIVE A BORING CAR!! The Classic Car Gallery 2316 Fairfield Ave Bridgeport, CT 06605 203-446-3477 1965 Chevrolet Biscayne 4 Door Tribute "Beautiful restoration, show winner, Big Block 454 Cid, well sorted!!" Vin 156695A157759 The car on offer here is this restored 1965 Chevrolet Biscayne L78 Tribute. There were only 8 4-door Biscayne L78's built, and as such are extremely rare and expensive. This car was built as a tribute to those cars. It has been extensively modified and upgraded to... pay homage to the rare L78 big block Biscayne while using modern equipment to give even higher performance and driveability than the original. An opened checkbook was used on this build (more then $60,000 was spent), and a large stack of records and receipts attest to this fact. The Engine Factory inc. built the 430hp/510 torque 454 Cid motor, it has 4 bolt mains forged crankshaft, forged pistons, roller rockers, Edelbrock dual plane manifold, Edelbrock 800 cfm Carb, high flow water pump etc. More than $7,000 was invested in the motor alone! Other notable upgrades include a rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission ($5,000 for the transmission!) and a Currie 9 inch Ford rear end with 3:55 gears. The low mileage rust free body got a high quality repaint, and a hand sewn interior. A brand new exhaust, and much more. To further enhance the L78 deception, a 4-speed floor mounted shifter (cleverly engineered to work the Automatic transmission), a correct L78 steering column, as well as a non-functioning clutch pedal have been fitted (the car has an Automatic transmission). Many L78 Biscayne specific details adorn the car throughout, including the correct type hubcaps, air cleaner, gauges (including the OEM 7,000 RPM tachometer ($700?!)) and much more. This vehicle has some modern updating for convenience, including MSD ignition retrofitted (styled to give the appearance of a GM distributor). The car is a frequent show winner. With just under 4,000 on the restoration, the car is well sorted and in wonderful condition. Please feel free to call at 203-446-3477 or email at if we can answer any questions.
