Description of 1991 Chevrolet Corvette |
1991 Corvette Stingray 2-Door Hatchback Coupe Where did I get the price? I called the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green and spoke to their specialty car insurance division [their version of Haggerty.] They said $20,000 if it's a show-car, somewhat less if it's a daily driver in excellent condition, like mine is. Will be worth $30,000 in 10 years, they predict. I've owned the car for 24 years. I bough it from my attorney who had it for 4 years and put 9,000 miles on it. Work done: within the last 3 years: New clutch &flywheel from SPEC SSBC 13" disk three-piston brake system, on the front Passenger-side intake manifold gasket replaced Rear main seal replaced. Transmission removed, inspected, bearings, gaskets replaced, gears cleaned. No shafts bent. All injectors replaced Spark plugs and wires replaced IAC valve replaced Oil pan gasket and plug gasket replaced. Oil sending unit and oil sensor replaced. New shocks New tires, which theCorvetteMuseum guy recommended asjust as good as Michelin Pilot Sport at half the price. And he's raced them both. Replaced headlamps New wiper motor and blades. Bose deck sent away to have interior worn parts replacedalong with Amp Cardsof each of the 4 speakers. Rear glass deck struts replaced Overflow coolant reservoir replaced Oil level sensor replaced Driver-side door hinge greased Hood latch adjusted and greased Driver-side visor mechanism adjusted. Incorrectly installed rear-glass struts replaced, and electrical connection re-soldered. New radiator New water pump |
