Description of 1965 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport |
This is a second owner 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS 283 2 speed powerglide car. I purchased this car about 6 1/2 years ago from the original owners family. The original owner is an elderly lady. I drove the car for the first year with the original drive train in it and it ran great but I didn't want to hurt it, then the winter came and my son had a 1995 Impala SS with a LT1 5.7 and a 4l60e and the frame was bad so I took the drive train out of that and put it in the 1965 Impala SS. The car runs and drives great, I drive it everywhere. Highway speeds are no problem with the rebuilt 4l60e transmission. Gas mileage is great with the fuel injection. Computer is programed for the gear ratio with the 20 inch Foose wheels. Front disc brake conversion. I still have original protecto plate, 283 with 2 speed transmission and front drum brakes and all go's with the car if interested. Most of the interior is original. I put new seat covers, dash pad, rug and package tray when I purchased it. It was painted about 5 years ago and now the clear coat pealed at the panel between the rear window and trunk lid. It is original white in color but there is a red pearl in the clear coat. The last picture is the day i seen and purchased it. Rhode Island Antique cars do not have titles so the DMV will give me a title law letter to give to the buyer with bill of sale so you can title this car in your state if need be. Please view all pictures and feel free to ask questions before bidding. The only question I will not answer is what the reserve is, so please don't ask. |
