Description of 1972 Chevrolet Camaro Resto |
For your consideration is a 1972 Camaro Resto-mod. Drive train is a LSX conversion - a LS2 from a 2006 GTO rebuilt with a Texas Stage 2 speed cam, LS-7 rocker arms and MSD coils. Less than 800 miles since completed. New fuel tank with aeromotive electric fuel pump. Griffin radiator with dual fans. A manual Tremec 6 speed transmission with a McCleod hydraulic clutch. Also includes the OBD II connection to diagnose any engine malfunctions should they occur. Stainless dual exhaust with X pipe. The rear end is a posi-10 bolt with 3.73 gears including Hotchkis lowering leaf springs and QA1 adjustable shocks. Front Suspension includes CPP tubular control arms, Hotchkis (big block) lowering springs, Hotchkis sway bar, KYB shocks. Brakes are 4-wheel disc brakes including Wilwood master cylinder and front brakes with proportioning valve. Wheels are Forgestar 18 x 9.5 in the rear (265/40/R18 tires) and 18 x 8 up front (245/40/18 tires). Interior is custom with TMI front and rear seats with suede inserts, TMI matching upper door panels and carpet, new lower door panels and rear panel sails with sound deadener under the new TMI carpet. Stereo includes an Alpine amp with 10" subwoofer. New Vintage A/C works great. Ring brothers shifter, steering wheel, turn signal lever, tilt steering column adjust lever, hazard lights lever, and hood pins. New 3-point seat belts for front buckets, Dakota VHX dash gauges with new wiring harness, and custom trunk interior. Body includes dual GM sport mirrors - driver's side is remote adjustable, custom hood, front and rear spoiler, bumpers front and rear have been tucked and painted grey to match hood graphics and wheels, and new lenses for all lights. Exterior includes PPG paint in satin finish crimson red. Paint looks great and was done well but there are a couple of areas where the body prep prior to paint was not perfect and you can see these imperfections when up close - see close up pictures. Car runs strong - modern reliability with old school looks. Not a show car, was built to be a daily driver but has been in the garage acquiring only 800 miles since complete. Moving, new place does not have a garage, time to let someone enjoy this car. Clean title in hand. Sold as-is. Feel free to contact me with questions, or offers. I encourage you to contact me to arrange to come see the car in person before bidding. Please do not ask me what the reserve is, this is an auction.
