1980 Checy C 10 Silverado Pickup

For sale is my 1980 Chevy Silverado shortbed pickup. I bought it from the original owner in 1993. This is the last year for this body style with the chrome trim and one off grille. The truck was ordered special new in California by the first owner who was an auto mechanic teacher. The truck was equipped with the oldOlds 350 diesel. As you might know these trucks had a special insulation package and slightly heaver front end components. It was driven for 5 years with no problems until 1998 when I changed the motor to an Olds 350. It was totally rebuilt to stock specs with standard size rings and bearings. At that time the 400 turbo trans was rebuilt using the gas torque converter. The Olds motor is a plug and play change out as they are the same block.I installed new fuel tanks and sending units. It has dual 16 gallon tanks and the electric switching works. It has the diesel radiator, dual batteries and the large starter. It has the original exhaust system.All the components for the diesel are complete under the hood. At this time we touched up the paint. The is no rust anywhere period. Chrome is all original. The interior was just redone back to stock. Seat, carpet and headliner.Dash cover is original. Tilt wheel, electric door locks and windows all work. I also just replaced the hydro boost, all of the lines and the master cylinder. It runs and drives well.

What it needs.. An A/C compressor. It was cold but a bearing is bad. There are some oil leaks tho not bad. I think it's due to sitting. Total mileage on the rebuild is 12,187 miles over the 20 years. Theodometer is 5 digit so we can assume it's probably rolled over.The radio is on and off but I have an replacement. The door panels need paint which I have. No cracks. Also I have new outside door handles and gaskets and the factory manuals This is a nice old truck.
