Description of 1966 Chevrolet C-10

Update Information - 8/17/2018: Per all the questions on the metal condition of the truck: There has been no patching done on truck. Panels are all original and nothing more than minor, and I mean extremely minor, surface rust!. I will be adding close up pictures of rockers, floor pan and cab corners. Only rust on her other than body extremely minor surface rust is some surface rust on the frame. This was a extremely well cared for truck with a little over 100k on body. Glass and all weather strip and rubber is like new. No this is not a frame off. I didn't want a show truck and spending that money served me no benefit. This is the most, and I mean, the most solid driver you could ever hope to find.
Original Ad:Up for sale is a totally solid southern 1966 Chevrolet pickup. I have driven this truck very long distances and it is an unbelievable a joy to drive. If you have ever driven a T5 manual, you know exactly what I mean! The last gear if for total hauling a!! speed and a dream on the highway as the truck just floats with ease. Several times I don't even remember there is another gear as I don't need it.. The A/C works perfect. I have had several non-A/C older vehicles and man does that make those hot and humid summer days so much more enjoyable. Anyone that states A/C is not a MUST, obviously has a non-A/C vehicle to sell. This piece of history has been driven and is built to be enjoyable to drive. It has been between Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and CT. This vehicle has been fully driven and there are no issues to be dealt with. The truck is as solid as they come. 98% of the surface rust has been air bushed on to give it more of a Rat Rod look. There is only some minor minor surface rust that created to there to give it the older/Rat Rod affect. There is no rust that needs to be dealt with. The bagging was done right and allows this to be driven and enjoyed, NOT driven and a hassle to do so. The front end is built using Porterbuild components. I feel it would be nice to modify the back to support some more slam, but recently got hooked on freestyle jet skiing and the truck has taken a back seat and is just not my focus anymore.

The LS swap was executed using adjustable Dirty Dingo motor mounts. All new engine gaskets were installed just before motor conversion. T5 was connected into the 5.3 LS motor using a Big Block bell-housingwith a LS clutch/flywheel setup. Using a hose racing hydraulic slave cylinder I was able to free up enough space from the original mechanical clutch to fit a set of shorty headers with a custom run by a local exhaust shop finished by a set of black widow mufflers. Exhaust is amazing quiet at highway cruising with no drone, however, it is loud as heck when you get on it. The truck originally had a small block in her when I got it, but felt the 5.3 LS would blow people away when I pop the hood. It honestly does have too much power for this small truck, but heck it is fun especiallywith the manual tranny.

I do have like new matching chrome front bumper and chrome grille that match the rear bumper that will go with the truck. I replaced these with the Rat Rod black front bumper and grille as I thought it gave it more distinct look. Just never came across a rear bumper to paint and dent up to match front look and didn't want to destroy the new back one that I had. I did find a step rear bumper that I picked up and would work on this truck, but when I held it up to truck, it just didn't look right. That will also go with the truck.

The interior, as you can see is very nice, but still has the authentic look. Every time I drive this truck and look at the interior metal, I am blown away with the awesome shape of the metal and finish. It is like it was the day it was built. It is like it never was left outside and beat by the sun. Yep, I am a little overboard with my likes and thoughts, but if you come take a look, I think you would get the goosebumps on your arms like I do while I gaze around the interior while at a light or on the highway.
