Description of 1953 Chevrolet Other Pickups |
Hello all and thanks for checking out this truck. My name is Tim. I AM SELLING THIS TRUCK THROUGH MY ACCOUNT FOR A FREIND. I PERSONNALY DO NOT OWN THIS TRUCK.Tom, the truck owner, doesn't use ebay very much and never sold here, so I am listing for him.Below is the description of the truck written by the owner. I as the seller can tell you this truck is the real deal.If your looking for a truck to take anywhere anytime worry free and have lots of fun. Then this is the truck. I built this truck this winter. I have over 600 hours of blood, sweat and engineering in it. I took pictures the entire length of the build. I wanted a modern driving older looking classic Chevy. I hit my goal. This is my third complete build and it's done right. All rust which was very little has been cut out and new metal welded in its place. The cab has been lined with rubber mat then insulated. The frame is a 2003 long bed regular cab S10. I put new upper and lower control arms, ball joints ect. New brakes, brake lines, new rear leafsprings and shackles. The S10 was already lowered 2". I cleaned and painted the frame with POR15. The truck has the stack gas tank, rear end, brake booster and lock steering column out of the S10. The motor is a rebuild 1990-sbc 350 with a mild cam. It will smoke the tires very easily. Driven for 3500 miles and oil changed once. The transmission is a 700R4 with overdrive. It tacks about 2000rpm at 70 mph. All the gauges are electronic, Omega 2 gauges. I put the Holley Sniper Electronic fuel injection system on it so it starts and runs like a modern car. No carburetor issues like most classics. Also has the 3" LCD screen to monitor engine and you can manually tune it for racing and even better daily driving economy. I painted the truck a style of modern Patina and clear coated it. Looks awesome. Even my wife likes it. This would be a perfect truck to drive daily, put your company logo on it or drive to car shows. I have driven the truck about 350 miles so far and have most all of the bugs worked out. The mufflers are just stuck on the exhaust pipes under the cab right now. They need moved back under the bed and pipes ran over the rear end, plenty of room for that. The turn signals need wired up to the column. All the flashers are in place on the new wiring harness that is installed. Also need to install the hide away gas lid in the bed. Right now there is a 2" piece of rubber hose with the gas cap on it coming thru bed floor. I would let my wife drive this truck!Tom King, CEO Bighorn Outdoors Masonry & Bighorn Outdoors Youth Adventure Program cell# (614) 565-8751 fax# (614) 920-3110 email: tek@bighornoutdoors.com web: www.bighornoutdoors.com Bighorn Outdoors 8033 Hill RD.
