Description of 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle |
You can see a small portion of the resto and paint work on RMC's website http://resurrectionmusclecars.com/1969-ss-502-chevelle/*note the car was red and stripped completely and done in this tri-coat metallic red. So some of the pictures are from the old color prior to resto, some (obvious ones) are the new paint. What I'm pointing to in the pictures are a couple pencil point sized marks in the paint. Anything else you see is just reflection. The paint is stunning. It may just need to be buffed and waxed for those tiny marks to come out. But I wanted to show just the same. Please bear with me on the description of this amazing car. It was my late husband's pride and joy. Everything you need to know, the owner of the restoration shop, Resurrection Muscle Cars, is more than happy to speak to you about. The car was painstakingly restored over the past couple years and unfortunately never got to be enjoyed after the interior was completed. There was over $120,000 dollars spent on this beautiful car. It sounds like a rocket. It's a 502, with aluminum heads. It has 650hp right now. It can handle a supercharger which he was going to have put on but never got a chance to, that would bring it to around 1000hp. The interior was just completed in top grain leather, including the trunk, headliner and roll bar. It was only driven home and started enough to keep the engine healthy. It hasn't been used or enjoyed since the interior work was finished. The paint is a gorgeous tri-coat that the pictures can't do justice. It was a very expensive paint job and my husband was meticulous about the result. (see resto pictures in link above) You can see from the resto pictures that my pictures do not do the paint justice. The leather isn't your run of the mill 'replacement' leather. It is buttery soft, high end leather. The car has an ignition kill switch that you have to know about that has to be flipped in order to start it. It's to help prevent theft. (maybe this is common but I always thought it was really cool) The engine has the best of everything and was 'cleared' to keep everything always looking great. I apologize for my lack of knowledge on the other mechanical stuff. I have 89g worth of receipts here alone, not counting the cost of the car. If interested please message me and I'd be happy to speak with you and put you in touch with Resurrection Muscle Cars' owner. He knows the car inside and out and is more than happy to help me with the sale of this as he knows how difficult this is for me. I apologize the pictures aren't the most professional. It is obviously garage kept. It is even shinier and more gorgeous when freshly washed/waxed but I'm too afraid to do it myself and too nervous to drive it anywhere. If my husband put a 100 miles on it after the exterior restoration, I'd be shocked. He put zero miles on it after the interior restoration. Please note-this car needs to be shipped if not local. This isn't a car you just drive cross country. I just feel better mentioning that, although I'm sure most 'car' guys know that. Buyer pays shipping but I'm happy to help arrange, be here and do whatever necessary to make sure this is safe. This car has a lot of sentimental value to me that is worth more than the money. I need to be sure it is going to be well cared for. This needs a good home where it can be driven and get the attention it deserves. Someone who knows how to list and describe a car better than me can turn around and sell this and make themselves quite a bit of money. It should easily go in the mid 60's if sold correctly and patiently. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury. |
