Description of 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 "Blue Flame" 235 c.i. Six, Frame-on Resto, Video |
1954 Chevrolet Deluxe 210 Sedan - YouTube Video will open in a new window You are viewing for sale a beautiful 75,000 original mile, frame on restoration of a 1954 Deluxe Chevrolet 210 sedan finished in the original color of Bermuda green and its matching light green patterned interior. Restoration was completed less than 7,000 miles ago in 2010 by a shop in Michigan. Upgrades include, 12-volt electrical system (new), transmission cooler, power brakes (disc front, drum rear), and power steering. NO TRADES OR FINANCING!!!! The step by step restoration was photographed in an album and is included with the Chevy. Every piece of weather stripping, suspension, brake assembly, steering, etc, was taken off the car and either replaced with new parts or refinished to look like new. The Power Glide transmission and open differential were totally rebuilt. The floor boards, frame, and suspension parts were sanded down and painted with gloss black Dupli-color truck bed coating. All the floor pans, including the trunk appear to be original. The 2-stage urethane paint is in excellent condition. The body appears to have little to no bodywork and is very straight with no dents, scratches or blemishes. The only 'boo-boo' was accidently done when someone closed the hood and the carburetor stem was not adjusted properly and a little dimple is present in the hood (see photo). The interior is immaculate and has had Dyna-matting insulation placed under the carpets. The seats were stripped down to their box springs, painted and had new foam installed before being reupholstered. All the stock gauges work including the clock and AM radio. All the glass is in excellent condition and operate as normal. The 235 c.i. straight six which came in the car when the current owner purchased the Chevrolet was not performing properly, so he pulled it out. Upon further investigation, the block turned out to be from a 1954 'truck' and not a passenger car, so the present owner found a correct 'date coded' 235 c.i. passenger engine and had it totally rebuilt with all new parts including the valves, cam, lifters, crank shaft, and rings. An electric fuel pump was added too. You will notice in the video a small amount of 'blue' smoke from the exhaust when the car accelerates. This is due to the new moly rings having not yet 'seated' since there is only 25 miles on the engine!! Owner is selling for personal reasons. I am listing this vehicle as a representative (broker) for the owner. All photographs and videos were taken by me. All the information presented was given to me by the owner. All questions will be directed to me and answered in a timely manner. NO TRADES DEPOSITS ARE DONE THROUGH PAYPAL AND ARE NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENT IS TO BE MADE BY WIRE TRANSFER OR CASH. PLEASE BUY WITH CONFIDENCE I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for more than 15 years and maintained a 100% rating during most of that period. Approximately 7 years ago I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all the endless phone calls, "Tire kickersâ€, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car. They just want someone to sell it!! References can be provided upon request. Feel free to call me at 410-937-0719 Thank you J.D. Kurzmann
