Description of 1972 Chevrolet Suburban |
1972 Chevy Suburban. Almost completely original. Meaning paint . carpet. seats. engine. This is my daily driver. in fact I wouldn't think twice about a cross country trip. Quarter panels have rust through issues. rockers have some issues as well. BUT the neat feature of this truck . or at least I think so . IS the fact that you can see these issues. they haven't been covered by an artist of plastic (bondo). Did you notice the mileage ? Correct. 103. 00. that averages to about 2500 per year for this sub. The standard Catalog of American Light -Duty Trucks. 3 rd. Edition. states that 2. 45 of these k10 were produced. they cost $4. 05 new ( my reserve is a bit higher. hint . hint) they weight 4. 06 #. Do you think they charged by the pound back in those days ?. And with approx. 25 % survivor rate . that leaves 536 left out there. So ask yourself . Do I want to stand out in a crowd when I drive this thing ? It's a guy magnet. so if your a lonely single female you might consider this large SUV. it would be rare that this rig would break down . but guys would be all over you trying to help you out . or at the least trying to buy it from you. Not trying to hide anything on this rig. it speaks for itself. ya a little puff of oil now and then. not very good on fuel. right turn signal works but doesn't cancel itself and the windshield washer doesn't work . but I have a new one in the box. and yes My DEAR . you can install with or without a mans help. New things: BFG. 33x10. 50x15" Tires. new T. H. 350 tranny. New Battery. New ball joints/ tie rod ends. New stereo . new water pump. ew brakes. Everything works. with just 2 little things I mentioned. jump in the coldest day. she fires right off. runs down the road like it should . |
