NO RESERVE - 1984 El Camino SS Designer Series. Relisted due to circumstances out of the last winning bidders control. CAR OVERVIEW: The car looks good at 5 feet - it has rust as seen in the pictures. I bought it at a benefit auction where the car had been donated by an elderly man. It has an Edelbrock Carb, new dual batteries, Edelbrock valve covers, heavy duty distributor, Headers a really nice sounding exhaust note - dual exhaust, upgraded hoses, FOOSE Rims, SS embossed seats, Designer Series emblems, Pioneer system and speakers. 5.0 L V8 Engine.
Engine runs smooth and starts with a growl. The paint looks good from 5 feet but it needs work - some of the clear coat is discoloring on the roof and hood and although there are no major dings or dents, the body will need attention to bring it back to show quality as it has rust which can be seen in the pictures. Transmission was replaced in 2006. Sold as True Mileage Unknown as the 5 digit odometer has rolled over. Easy to drive, starts, drives, stops. Starts and runs smoothly - I have driven it short distances once a week - average 10 miles without issues. It has been off the road for several years. I run it on Antique Historical tags and drive to and from the grocery store and gas station for fun. Brakes and transmission work fine. Starts, runs, stops, shifts no oil leaks on the garage floor - sounds great. I filled it all the way up with gas and had some minor leakage.Head lights are hooked up to a switch under the dash board, stereo system is disconnected, rear lights and rear blinkers work when they want. Small crack in one place on the dash - the rest of the interior is in good shape. Headliner is good as well. OVERVIEW: The car is sold AS-IS. The engine alone is worth more than my starting bid. I am not a mechanic nor a dealer, the pictures represent the condition of the car. I have not owned the car for a long time, nor have I driven it for extended distances. I have driven in and around my house and it runs nice and tight. Great sound and rumble from the exhaust. There are no returns or refunds. The average price on eBay for a 1984 El Camino is currently $ 15,000.00. The car is being sold AS-IS. Please come and inspect if possible prior to bidding, ZIP Code is 22182. The car looks good in real life but better in the pictures.
