Description of 1968 Chevrolet Impala Custom Coupe |
1968 Chevy Impala Custom Coupe 1 owner 1968-2013 Documented 51,000 Original Miles (When purchased April 2013) If you are a collector of survivor cars, you need to give this car a very close look. Pictures do not do this car justice and I invite you to personally inspect with your paint measuring gauge, magnet, whatever you want to use to verify that this car is for real. There aren't many collectible cars at this price that you can proudly display at ANY car show, local, regional or national. I especially get a kick out of parking next to a $150,000 restored car at a show and having more people talking to me about my Impala than the big block LS6 guy. " I went to the prom in that car" or "my mom and dad had this car " Chrome and stainless gleams and is impressive for a 50 year old automobile. The Butternut Yellow Lacquer finish has just the right amount of sheen, the kind of presentation that National Corvette Restorers would love to have on their C3s! The vinyl top has solid seams, no rips tears or lifting. The rear window lower corners have the common 1960's leak issue so don't run a hose in the corners. ( For you young guys who don't remember, these windows leaked when new, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova and Impala. So a leaky trunk doesn't mean theres' a lot of rust there, it's a GM defect from new where the body and roof seams meet.) The trunk floor is solid! The interior is all original down to the date coded carpet. Headliner like new with no rips or tears. Black Madrid grain seat upholstery is also like new. leave the key in the iginition and the original warning buzzer sounds! All gauges* and lights work. Turn the key and 200 HP comes to life! OK, it's not a muscle car but the 307 has plenty of getup and go for cruising. Check out the picture of the driveshaft, it still has the factory 3 ring markings, Delco Blue Spiral original shocks I am asking a very fair price Old Cars Price Guide Condition #1. $21,500 #2. $15,050 #3. $9,680
This is a 50 year ol, un-restored survivor from the Northeast U.S- Philadelphia, Pa with "patina" (not Arizona or Southern California) that saw very limited everyday use between 1968 & 1978 before becoming the original owners classic car, always garaged.
