Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS |
1968 Camaro - Pro Touring / Resto-mod / 740 HP Selling my beloved 1968 Camaro. I bought this as a mostly stock (not original) in 2012 and proceeded to do a full resto-mod / pro touring build. I touched everything in the vehicle except for body and paint. I was going for a sleeper stock look. The wheels look like the original rally wheels, but they're actually custom made 18" billet aluminum wheels from Circle Racing (Series 90 Billet Rallye). The build took over 14 months and was done in Houston, TX at B&B Automotive. Less than 4k miles since rebuild. Well over $100K invested. Everything works and is correct. Drivetrain and Suspension -Camaro ZL1 LSA Supercharged crate engine from GM Performance, mated to a T56 Magnum 6-speed transmission. -Engine has a performance tune from KP Racing in Houston by renown tuner Joe Huneycutt producing 625 RWHP (est. 740 at the motor). The video shows 594 HP, but we kept going and tuned it to 625 HP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=782w7IR4zRU - Custom Stainless Works X-Pipe steel exhaust Detroit Speed QUADRALINK 4-link rear suspension Moser 9" rear-end - 3.70 gear ratio JRI Coilover shocks rear Detriot Speed subframe connectors Vintage Air A/C - runs COLD Custom 18" Circle Racing billet aluminum wheels - they look like stock rally rims Wilwood 9" brake booster Ididit steering column - with tilt Speedtech Performance subframe - high gloss black powder coating QA1 coilover shocks front Anvil Auto carbon fiber hood (Fesler Billet hood hinges) Anvil Auto carbon fiber rear spoiler Anvil Auto carbon fiber cowl panel (included - not installed) Anvil Auto carbon fiber deck lid (included - not installed; also Fesler Billet hinges) Fesler Billet fender braces Autokraft LSx oil pan Dakota Digital "vintage looking" gauges Painless wiring - all new Interior is all originallooking - I was going for the sleeper stock look Exterior / paint is in good shape - I would put it at 7/10...not a show car...looks great from 5 feet away |
