This is a very coo, low mileage 64 Chevy pickup. This truck was sold new as a 3/4 ton cab and chassis. It was sent new to the Calmar Body company in Calma, Iowa for a custom bed. The bed is very unique and very well built. It can be used in 3 different configurations . As a Flat bed truck. A stake body. Or it has built in side panels that lift up to turn it into a tall " hay wagon". The bed is all origina, paint and all. It is in very good condition. Even has the original hand painted pinstriping on the wood sides. This truck was used on a farm all its life. It is 55 years old and has 55,000 miles on it. It was only used a 1000 miles a summer for farm duties. The cab of the truck is nice and solid and has had a repaint on the exterior. Truck is solid underneath. Has the orig 6 cyl engine. 4 speed manual transmission. Drives good. Tires are brand new. Radiator is a brand new "NOS" Harrsion unit. New rear shocks. Has a hand choke from the factory. This truck gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. its a great color. Super nice orig condition. And the stake body makes it so unique. A lot of old trucks had flat beds put on them because there box was shot. This truck has a professionally made bed that was put on the truck in 1964. I would love to see a company have this truck and put their name on the door. Or have it go back to a farm or be a cool " ranch truck" out west. The possibilities are endless ......
