Description of 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Fuel Injected |
Perfect collectible with all the right features. A California car free from rust; always garaged; from long storage and well maintained from day one. Hard to find limited production Fawn Beige Metallic Exterior (beautiful) and original interior with original seats (in excellent condition); new carpet; all working gauges; perfect original padded dash; white convertible top; new tires; factory tinted windshield. All in A1 condition. The car has excellent factory aligned doors, hood and trunk — all fit perfect. Newly rebuilt, strong running, correctly configured 327 C.I. fuel injected engine; 360 HP; 4 speed transmission; posi-traction (highway gears) rear end. 100 miles ago, a new 600 CFM carburetor, and new manifold were professionally installed. Todays low octane fuel with alcohol make fuel injection very difficult to tune (and expensive) unless you really know what you are doing. That's why the fuel injection was replaced — the car performs like a real dependable 360 HP Corvette — powerful and fast. The completely rebuilt fuel injection unit goes with the car. The original fuel injection distributor with built in gear drive for fuel injection unit is still on the engine with all the air cleaner and fuel line brackets as well. Not a single nut, bolt or linkage missing for a fast re-install. A new heater core provided (still in box) needs to be installed (easy install). Currently heater is by-passed. I recently purchased this car for my wife...for all the wrong reasons...she hates it...at her age (77 yrs) she needs p/s, p/b, automatic. She thinks the Corvette is a "Hot Rodâ€. What can I say? I was thinking of those "thrilling days of yesteryearâ€... I am selling it at a loss (BIG LOSS...) to move on to another car. This is a really nice Corvette with "miles of smiles" still to be enjoyed while cruising...(showing off...). Talk is cheap...come, take a look, take a ride...you'll see. Physical inspection by buyer or buyer's agent recommended. Call for more pics or further details. The price is $69,500. This vehicle is also advertised locally so I reserve the option to remove this ad at any time. Be advised, I'm old, late calls make me cranky. Tony 707 253-7632 |
