You are looking at a
1949 Chevrolet Pickup This is a very nice survivor pickup truck. The engine is the original overhead valve 216 cu in Thriftmaster six-cylinder version and starts and runs great! There is a three speed manual transmission with a column shifter. The bench seat has been totally recovered and there is an aftermarket radio in the original radio location. The fuel tank, battery, alternator and starter, tires and wheels are all new. The 6 volt electrical system has been converted to a modern 12 volt system with all lights changed accordingly. The rear left directional lens needs to be replaced.....see pics. The bed has new wood planks with metal strips. The truck was painted the current colors when the current owner purchased it. The brakes and brake lines have all been replaced. Despite its age, the overall truck is in great shape with very little rust. The fit and finish is good but not perfect with a few very small dimples and dents here and there. The five window cabs were not the normal offering, but this has them. It's getting harder and harder to find a truck like this in decent shape. The speedometer works now and then and the other original gauges do not operate. Two kinds of potential buyers would be interested in buying this truck. The first would be to use the truck just as it is, fixing or updating a few things here and there. The other potential buyer is someone looking for a good candidate for a total restoration. This truck fills either bill.
