Description of 1940 Chevrolet Master |
Up for a NO RESERVE AUCTION is a gorgeous 1940 Chevrolet Master Deluxe businessman's edition. This car is a real head turner. We recently took her for a Scottsdale car show where she was a total crowd favorite.
Body is in excellent condition. Arizona car with no rust, very solid! Showroom quality black paint has mirror shine. All the chrome on a car is in great condition. Period correct bias ply white wall tires. Brand new running boards. Everything is still on the factory 6V system. The entire wiring harness has been professionally replaced with period correct cloth wires. The original tube radio is still installed in the dash but has been professionally converted to a remote bluetooth player. You can play 1940s music using your cell phone while you're driving through the original radio. Engine compartment is very clean. Transmission works excellent, all gears work perfectly, no knocking or weird noises. There are two minor corks with the car: The clutch slips a little but only when starting in first gear (I personally don't know if it needs a new one or just needs adjustment. It never really bothered me so I never had it replaced) And the brakes are soft a little, so I double pump them, they work great that way. Interior is in excellent condition. All dash gauges work. The car still has the "Food and Gas" rationing group-A sticker in the windshield, and the original 1940 registration medallion on the sun visor. All the seats have been professionally re-upholstered. Both door panels are also brand new, and had a custom designed carpet set installed. Terms I described the car to the best of my abilities and recollection. Please bear in mind that this is a 80 year old car and small details that are not important to me might be important to you. So if it is, please ask before bidding / buying. Because the age of the car(s) and state law, they are being sold as is, where is. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Please note that the car is being advertised locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction if a local buyer funds the sale. |
