Mixing undeniable vintage charm with just the right level of tasteful customization to arrive at an awesome result, this 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe Coupe is about as fresh off its restoration as a classic can be. It's a very distinctive looking ride with plenty of road-readiness to offer a great driving experience. The exterior of this '51 is clad in Bittersweet - a unique shade of orange that's a little darker than you normally see, with an almost muted quality to it. It's nice and evenly applied in this setting with a smooth reflective shine. There are some really sharp features on display here - swing around to the back and you'll see that the rear windshield sports a three-piece design unmatched by any other car, while up front, you'll find signature Chevrolet lettering imprinted right into the chrome grille. With its one of a kind roofline and muscular rear fenders, this Chevy cuts an especially striking appearance when viewed from the side. This classic features nice, tight body lines, with even gaps surrounding its hood, doors and deck lid to allow them to open and close smoothly. The glass surrounding the cabin - including those distinctive segmented front and rear windshields - is nice and clear. Inside the doors lies a very well-detailed interior, with front buckets and a rear bench seat dressed in sharp white vinyl covers with tuck and roll orange inserts that match the door panels. A custom center console sits between the buckets to offer both welcome storage space and cupholders, as well as a convenient place to rest an elbow while driving. Just in front of the stock steering wheel, you'll find a dash area that's been skillfully refurbished, with a factory tachometer sitting at its center, an assortment of crystal clear gauges in the instrument cluster and a very nice stretch of chrome accenting. An underdash air conditioning system was added to cool the cabin and a new compressor sits under the hood, but it does still require some servicing to get it back online. The trunk area in back is in good shape, with tan carpeting lining its floor and inner fenders to produce a finished look. A modern 350 cubic inch V8 powers this classic. It's equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carb sitting underneath a chrome air cleaner on top, as well as a pair of chrome valve covers on its sides. Elsewhere in the engine compartment, an upgraded Accel distributor maximizes spark and a nicely sized aluminum radiator helps keep temperatures in check. The powerplant teams with a 4 speed 700r4 automatic transmission whose overdrive gear really comes in handy on the highway. You'll notice the benefits of the featured Mustang II front end right away - it not only provides a nice ride in everyday driving conditions, but also equips this coupe with smooth power rack and pinion steering, as well as power front disc brakes for fade resistant stops made all the more dependable with recently replaced brake lines. This vintage Chevy provides a great driving experience as it rolls on a set of 17" American Racing wheels that are outfitted with Advantage T/A tires. Below, the undercarriage looks very stable and features floor pans and suspension components that appear quite solid. This 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe Coupe is equal parts eye-catching vintage cruiser and aggressive street machine and would be a great acquisition for the classic enthusiast looking to add a truly compelling ride to their garage.
