Its vintage form is clad in a very appealing color for great curb appeal, and plenty of smooth power stands by under its hood. This 1969 Chevrolet C10 Stepside is as road-ready as can be and comes complete with a collection of build receipts to document the journey to its present-day well turned out condition. Its first generation predecessors certainly featured a great vintage look of their own, but when Chevy brought out their next generation of C10 pickups - of which this '69 is a proud member - they began to realize that would-be truck buyers were putting a high priority on getting behind the wheel of a pickup with a more modern look. It's a change that's reflected in this C10's front grille, which bears a much stronger resemblance to its present day counterparts than it does those coming before it, as does its more streamlined hood. By virtue of their relatively short beds, stepsides have a stout, rugged appearance that conveys the notion that they're up for anything they might encounter and the bright red shade this one is clad in provides reinforcement in the form of its glossy, "wet" look and sharp condition. This is a vital looking ride - the fresh-looking front grille sits over a clean, level bumper that shows no evidence of any mishaps, clean casings surround both the headlights and taillights and all of its badging presents well - check out that blue Chevy bowtie on the hood in particular. The interior has been skillfully refurbished and benefits from a little customization that's been applied with good taste. The black vinyl bench seat features cloth houndstooth check accents and blends in well with its surroundings, offering plenty of comfort while not showing much use. On both sides, the door panels look particularly fresh and sit nice and flush in their frames. The dash area appears to have been taken down to bare steel before being repainted and an assortment of modern gauges illuminate the cabin in blue with their readings while residing inside a spruced up, factory-designed instrument panel. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD player with remote sits at the center of the dash, and a Vintage Air air conditioning system has recently been added, so it's in top form to keep the interior comfortable through the factory, in-dash vents. The bed in back is another strong suit for this vintage pickup - the wood lining its floor is nice and flat and has obviously been well-prepped to withstand exposure, showing no sign of fading or warpage. A 402 cubic inch V8 sits inside the walls of the engine compartment, looking sharp with its Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and a 4-barrel Edelbrock carb that's partially visible under a compact chrome air cleaner, with a pair of chrome Moroso valve covers at its sides that contrast nicely with its properly painted orange block. The engine is running strong and sounds great as it vocalizes into its long tube headers leading to its Flowmaster exhaust. It's paired with a 3-speed automatic TH350 transmission to make up a very solid drivetrain. The featured power steering is in good form, making this venerable workhorse an easy navigator, and power brakes at all four corners provide low-effort stops as it cruises on its striking looking 20" Chevy wheels that are wrapped in low profile performance radials. The undercarriage appears to be in great shape and the view underneath provides the novelty of seeing thoroughly vintage factory suspension components sitting alongside the aftermarket exhaust. Looking great both inside and out, and running at the top of its game, this 1969 Chevrolet C10 Stepside would be a great score for any classic truck enthusiast. Call today!
