This is a numbers matching Chevrolet El Camino with 39,637 original and actual miles. It was assembled in Baltimore, Maryland in December 1971, and shipped to the dealer in Arab, Alabama. The first owner used it as a delivery vehicle until the transmission went out in 1978. The second owner was an auto salvage company in Arab, Alabama. Austin put the El Camino in a shed awaiting installation of a new transmission. This El Camino sat in that shed for the next 32 years. A storm in 2010 damaged the shed and the El Camino was pulled out. Austin was amazed at the condition of the vehicle and decided to put it on the road again. This is a 350 small block with the factory 4 barrel carburetor, and factory automatic transmission. It was ordered with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, radio, tinted glass and vinyl top. It is matador red with black vinyl top and black interior. It has new carpet, headliner and upholstered bench seat. It received fresh paint in 2013. It is rust free. I have owned it since 2014 and have replaced the original shocks and starter. It is a really sharp truck that gets "thumbs up" whenever you drive it. It runs and drives perfectly. Appears new with great chrome. It has been in one local car show where it received 1st in the truck division. It lives in our climate controlled shop and has only been driven 850 miles since its coming out in 2010. It comes with the original owners manual. The gas gauge just quit working and I haven't checked out why. I have the clear title in hand. Shipping is at buyers expense but I will assist anyway I can. Feel free to call with any questions. This is a no reserve auction. Tom 319-521-4915
