Here's a first generation Camaro to be reckoned with. A coveted combination of great looking exterior decked out in an outstanding color, a newly refurbished interior and strong running power under the hood equip this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS tribute with a great driving experience to go along with its magnetic curb appeal. The Bolero Red color this '67 sports is about as custom looking as can be, but in reality, it's the very same shade this car drove off the lot with more than a half century ago. It's obviously received a skillful freshening up during its travels and offers a great shine and a nice, smooth texture. Up front, the crisp black stripe encircling the nose is a faithful recreation of the Super Sport Camaros of the era while the clean black grille it surrounds represents a nod to Rally Sport styling in the form of the hideaway headlights contained inside that were reason enough for many car buyers to opt for the RS package in the first place and since they are now electric, they are in good working order. From the crisp clean bumpers in front and back, to the trim surrounding the windows and running the lengths of the rocker panels, the assembly of chrome is in consistently good shape, as is the black vinyl top, which shows no tears, fading or bubbling. The interior has that ultra-fresh appearance to suggest it was overhauled from scratch. The black vinyl seating in both front and back still has its supple appearance and shows no creasing, the door panels cling flush against their steel frames and the carpet lining the floor shows no ill effects from foot traffic. Sitting between the buckets, the center console is also in great shape, placing the white-balled shifter within easy reach with a trio of stylish gauges just a little farther forward. There's a very sharp Super Sport badged steering wheel sitting on its tilt column, while the gauges and control switches just beyond it all function as intended, as do the power windows to each side. In back, the trunk area also appears to be in very clean condition, with a fresh rubber seal sitting under the deck lid to keep the elements out and a plaid vinyl liner protecting the floor. Ample power for this classic Chevy comes in the form of a 350 cubic inch crate motor sitting in the compartment, dressed up with a chrome air cleaner over its Quadrajet 4-barrel carb, to go along with a pair of chrome valve covers. The engine is at the top of its game, pulling with conviction and sounding great as it exhales into its dual exhaust. The 4-speed manual M20 transmission just behind it offers precise shifting, and the clutch action on hand here feels just right. Overall, this Camaro really provides a nice driving experience - in addition to the power it features, the suspension and brakes are in good order, so it's riding nice and stopping well. It patrols the asphalt on a set of faithfully reproduced 15" stock Camaro wheels outfitted with BF Goodrich T/A radials. Everything is looking very solid below, and from that vantage point you can see the freshly painted oil pan and straight suspension components. With its great paint scheme, fresh interior and strong drivetrain, this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Tribute is going to make some lucky classic car enthusiast very happy. Call today!
