The car is a "driver" and was built to be used and enjoyed. It’s ready to go and needs nothing other than a driver. This car has been around this area for decades and did some drag racing in St. Louis / Wentzville / etc. back in the day. From what I understand it also did some street racing in Hannibal. MO. Years and years ago. As you see it now. it is the brainchild of a veteran car guy who grew up loving the gassers and wanted one of his own. Luckily he has built numerous cars over the years and had the skills to build what you see here……. Which is the result of his wanting a Gasser……. But also wanting to drive and enjoy it. not just look at it. In Buick "Nailhead" motor Motor was checked out and has new cam / lifters / timing chain / gaskets – lots of paint / chrome accents – looks great in the car Transmission is a TH350 with a very expensive adapter plate to the Buick motor (uses common and readily available Chevy bolt pattern TH350 transmission) Rear end is out of a ’57 Chevy and has highway friendly gears Like brand new American Torque Thrust wheels with like new tires all around Front axle was all brand new Speedway parts when the car was built Custom welded steel floors Custom fit radiator (never overheats) Front brakes / spindles are 1953 Chevy Complete braking system was built with all new parts and works great New Edelbrock carburetor Custom built headers with (2) exhaust options – long pipes as shown in the pictures. or I have turnouts that drop right off the headers if you really want to piss off the neighbors!!! (turndowns are shown in interior pictures) All tune-up items were new (fuel pump / plugs / wires / coil / fuel lines / distributor parts / etc / etc) Buick steering column with original steering wheel Reliable and fun car that is ready to drive to the show / cruise / swap meet…. whatever….
