Description of 1978 Chevrolet Blazer

Up for sale is a 1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer! I am the second owner. I purchased the truck in 1983 and it had 50K miles on it. At first it was used as a mudding truck. a group of us going out of the weekend kind of thing. Then we all decided to turn our mud trucks into show trucks. I took the truck down to it's frame and the rebuilding began. The frame had about 60K miles on it when I started the rebuild. The following is a list of what was completed during the rebuild: all new panels were purchased (directly from GM) the interior was completely redone in a burgundy velour diamond pattern as burgundy was the trucks original interior colorreplaced the shocks. tie rods. steering stabilizers. spring hangers. bumper supports. transmission mount. master cylinder. hood hinges and hood latches and had each chrome plated (which was around 5K alone at that time)rebuilt the engine that has: ~ 350ci. nbsp; ~ bored . 030 over. ~ roller tip rockers. ~ Pete Jackson gear drive. ~ Holley 600 carburetor. ~ Edelbrock intake manifold ~ chrome headers 4 speed manual transmission Auto meter gauges Kenwood stereo with separate equalizer Front and rear amps JBL speakers 38 1/2 in. Mickey Thompson tires 10 in. all spring lift kit 3 in. body lift 4. 56 gears in rear end. Rear drive shaft has C. V. joint custom chrome double tube roll bar with K. C. lights replaced blazer tailgate with a truck tailgate over 20K invested in the rebuild I still have the original top. however since it was used for show. the top was not redone and remains in it's original condition for which there is a broken window. Since changing the tailgate there is not a rear window. With the double tube rollbar the top does not fit properly and needs thicker weather stripping to make it fit securely and to seal it properly. that is if you are going to even use the top. Originally. I was going to put a Tonnneu cover on it. but I never did as it was always garage kept and it was never driven in the rain. The truck originally had air conditioning but it was removed during the rebuild. The windshield wipers currently do not work. The truck does not have the back seat. The rims have a little bit of rust pitting.
