They say first impressions are everything. Those are stunning on this car with its eye popping Yellow paint and bold black stripes. But when you get to the second and third impressions of this sweet ride, they will pretty much blow the "everything" part of that expression out of the water. This car does look sharp from top to bottom and end to end. It is obvious that a lot of good preparation went into getting the... body panels straight and the panel gaps consistent before any of that gorgeous yellow paint was laid down, and then they painted on the black stripes before clear coating everything. A black grill with Z/28 badge leads the way up front underlined by a thin chrome bumper along with fog lights and a deep chin spoiler. A cowl induction hood hints at the beast within with the black stripes catching the light and contrasting with the yellow nicely. Thin chrome piping looks good dressing out the wheel wells and rockers. A black vinyl roof looks perfect on this car and sharp looking black and chrome trim finish out the edges nicely. The stripes flow over the rear spoiler leading to another Z28 emblem and another pencil thin bumper. Open the door and you will get the second impression. (or third if you peeked under the hood first). It also reflects the care that was taken in restoring this car. The door panel is fresh and clean with some chrome piping across the top and also surrounding the center. Pleated black and white houndstooth seating surfaces with black vinyl panels surrounding them look fantastic. A two spoke steering wheel with an SS horn button sits on a tilt column in front of a stock dash that looks like new. That's because there have been new gauges installed in both the instrument panel and the center console cluster. A/C controls are just above the radio to keep you cool on those hot summer nights, and the lower dash is done in a rich wood tone that carries through to the console and contains the shifter for the manual transmission. There are nice Camaro floor mats protecting the carpets, and a grab handle for your passenger that might come in handy because of what is under the hood. And what is under the hood is a healthy 454 cubic inch engine tucked snuggly into the engine bay. Big block engines are fun. They make big power and sound good doing it. This one sounds particularly wicked even at idle. A polished aluminum air topper sits on a 4-barrel carb and a polished aluminum Pro Comp intake manifold. Chrome Chevrolet valve covers dress things up nicely with the heads and block painted orange. New exhaust manifolds get the gases flowing back through big pipes and Flowmaster mufflers that give it that awesome sound. A 4-speed manual transmission gets the power heading toward the rear wheels. Power front disc brakes handle the job of reeling this car back in when you let it run, and power steering does a nice job helping you carve up the back roads. The rubber meets the road through 255/50R17 tires in the rear and 215/50R17s in the front mounted on chrome American Racing Torq Thrust type wheels. First, second, and third impressions. All awesome! Come on down and see for yourself.
