Description of 1963 Chevrolet Suburban

Up for auction is our 1963 Chevrolet Carryall two door Suburban. As rare as these trucks are. it is difficult to find one in this condition. Many were used at camps and for the forestry service and later destroyed. This Carryall was one of the few that survived the last 52 years. This truck is a lot of fun to own. its a rare 2-door so you don't feel like you're driving a huge vehicle. but there is room for friends. family and car show gear (plenty of folding chairs and coolers). You can take it to the local show or cruise-in and be the only Carryall there! It comfortably seats 6 with lots of room in the back for a third row of seating if you desire to add another seat. Originally from California. this truck is truly rust free and maintains a very straight body. The restoration was recently completed. All of the paint work. interior and mechanical is fresh and new. The body started out being very straight and free of rust; it was primed. block sanded and finished in modern long lasting materials with shine that is deep and durable. The wheels and body were finished off with a hand painted pinstripe in colors complimenting the original emblems and logos. All of the door jambs and interior panels were also refinished to match. The dash was detailed and maintains its original gauges with a FACTORY TACHOMETER. all in perfect working order. The original radio delete panel is still in place. but under the dash you will find a modern multi speaker and amplified sound system that will hook into you're smart phone. This sounds great when cruising!! Inside the glove box you will find the original owners manual. The seats were recovered in a durable truck like material that fits right into the overall theme. The tight loop carpet was also professionally installed and sewn to fit. All of the glass was removed for the body to be painted. while it was out. it was cleaned. polished and new rubber seals installed. The windshield is new. All of the lights. gauges. wipers. horns. turn signals and cancelers work perfect. The grill and side trim was re polished. the bumpers were re chromed giving the entire exterior a very fresh and complete restoration. All four tires are new and the same size. the wheels are new 15x7 "wheel vintiques" that are made to work with the original poverty caps. The wheel and cap combination give this Carryall a great look. Under the hood you will find a fully rebuilt 350 making nearly 350hp. It has an aluminum intake manifold with a new Edelbrock AFB 4bbl carburetor and HEI distributor. It has also been upgraded to a internally regulated alternator. rebuilt turbo 350 automatic transmission. new dual exhaust and power brakes. Hidden in front of the radiator is a switched electric fan in addition to the mechanical fan. It never gets warm! The undercarriage is very clean and has been painted a nice satin black. It has new ball joints. brake linings and shocks. This Carryall is very dependable and can be driven anywhere with comfort. The only thing that does not work is the heater. It gets decent fuel economy and is very easy to drive. If you are looking for a very high quality 2-door Carryall Suburban then you should seriously consider this truck.
