If your looking for that "PERFECT" numbers matching show car, Please Keep LOOKING! This car was built to be Driven. Now with that out of the way, Up for sale is a BEAUTIFUL 72 Camaro R/S-S/S 396 big block 4 speed tribute car. It started life in the South (Florida) as a 307 automatic Rally Sport with A/C. It had a 350 with a turbo 350 trany in it when I started on it. It now has a 1972 396 that has been completely rebuilt and is out of a 1972 Camaro, a new flywheel, clutch kit, A Completely rebuilt M 20 Muncie 4 speed transmission and the rear end has 3.73 gears with a posi unit. The list of NEW is a LONG ONE. Basically if it moves, it was either replaced or rebuilt. All the break's are new, Rotor's, caliper's, pad's, rear wheel cylinder's, spring kit's, shoes, master cylinder, booster, and all 3 flex hoses. The trunk pan was replaced, as was the tail light panel,1/2 quarter panel's and partial floor panel's. It has new moldings on the windshield and rear window, new header panel, urethane nose ring, new chrome grill ring, new side marker light's, outer door handle's,gas tank and sending unit, it still has a drive shaft loop and frame connectors on it that were installed 20 + years ago. Now for the inside. It's mostly new. new are - seat upholstery front and rear, dash pad, carpeting, head liner, rear sail panel's, lower door panel's, door sill molding's and shifter boot. I'm SURE that I forgot a lot of it. It has a working tachometer, speedometer (I don't think it's accurate) water temperature gauge, volt meter, gas gauge, cigarette lighter, windshield wiper's (new motor) dome light comes on when either door is opened(new door switches)or when the head light knob is turned, even the clock work's, horn beeps, A/C is cold, parking break works, all electrical connections were glass beaded clean to make sure that they make good contact, all light bulb's are new, all switches have been replaced, back up lights come on when the shifter is put in reverse, and new 2 1/2" dual exhaust. Now the thing's that I found not to be working, The A/M radio and the rear window defroster (the blower unit was lost during the build) the car could use a front end aliment as the steering wheel isn't centered. It drives fine. The car's odometer was turned to 000000 so you can keep track of you miles and I've only driven it 1 mile. the engine has run about 1 hour and still has the break in oil in it. Now for the number guy's. The engine block casting # is 3999290, and the date code is A/26/72, head's are 6272292X with date code, Left head E/25/72 and right head E/20/72, intake, 8283769, date A/31/72, carb # 7042220, date K1 EM, distributor, 1112057, date,2A4. The engine is the only thing in the drive train that is 1972. This car was built to be Driven. I'm SURE that I've forgotten a LOT of new things that were put into this car!! I've described this car to the best of my ability. If there is any questions please ask and I will answer them ASAP. Please remember that this is a 47 year old car, not new,I'm selling it to do some much needed home improvements. car can be seen by appointment only. I have a clean open Florida title in my hand.I'm not a dealer. I reserve the right to end this early as the car is for sale locally, sold as is with no warranties implied. CAR NOR TITLE LEAVES MY PROPERTY UNTIL I HAVE GREEN AMERICAN CASH IN MY GREEDY LITTLE HAND.
