Description of 1967 Chevrolet Nova Sport Coupe |
Selling this car for one of my high-end customers. The car was purchased in the summer of 2005 from the car’s third owner since it left the assembly line 40+ years ago. As you can see from the pictures. it started as a 1967 Chevy II Nova Sport Coupe. with a 283ci V8 with a 2spd powerglide transmission. It was in fantastic shape and was driven without issue for the summer until it began the three-year. six-figure tear down and build up to become what it is today. The ZZ383 short block was acquired from Chevy Performance Parts complete with ported and polished Edelbrock aluminum heads. Comp cam. Crane gold rockers and fitted with Accel Gen VII fuel injection. a hand-made. one of a kind sheet metal intake fitted with twin 70mm BBK throttle bodies and a 125 hp NOS fogger. Polished BeCool radiator with overflow. chromed and special ordered high amp Powermaster alternator charging the twin Optima battery system. MSD billet distributor. MSD coil. MSD wires and MSD Digital 7 programmable ignition sparking the Aeromotive fuel delivery system. The front end is a powdercoated TCI complete front clip. Custom Flowmaster 40 true dual exhaust exits through custom speedway inspired exhaust tucked up into the rear rechromed bumper. The engine was matched to a Keisler TKO 5-spd transmission linked to a custom sized drive shaft to a completely resized. rebuilt and powder coated Ford 9in rear end complete with Richmond Gears 4:11posi-traction with Moser axles out to 4-corner Willwood brakes with show chromed calipers aided by a Wilwood master cylinder and Wilwood proportioning valve. Billet Specialties custom ordered and offset GTX10 17x8 and 18x9. 5 rims wrapped in Kuhmo Supra 215/40s and 275/35s where the rubber meets the road. AirRide Technologies AirBar in the rear and Shockwaves in the front keep things level and planted. Complete with two AirRide remote key fobs. The interior consists of re-wrapped front seats out of a 2009 Pontiac GTO with full power adjustments. The rear is the original bench seat that has been rewrapped. A full glass dash and center console houses an array of Autolite Carbon Lite gauges to include memory tach. Push button ignition button from a Dodge Viper as well as NOS purge and arming switches are also found on the console. Billet Specialties Steer column and wheel with color coded leather wrap and Billet Specialties door knobs and rear view mirror accent the interior. Lloyds “Nova” embroidered floor mats and new interior carpet and headliner complete the look. The car is almost completely lined with Dynamat Extreme sound deadening material as seen in the pictures. This comes in handy for a couple of reasons…it adds an element of rigidity to the chassis with the absence of a roll cage. Additionally it greatly improves the sonic noise capabilities of the car. AKA: assists keeping engine noise out and music noise in. A high end Alpine CD headunit is matched to JL Audio component speakers powered by JL Audio amps with remote bass knob. It is all custom mounted and displayed in the trunk. Monster cable connects it all together to provide nothing but clean. clear powerful music to cruise to. The exterior modifications include shaved fuel filler as there is now a fuel cell accessed through the trunk and shaved door handles. Doors can be opened with a key fob activating the door “popper” solenoid. A custom paint job to include ghost stars on the hood and airbrushed side emblems complete the custom American Detroit muscle look. Have full receipts and build book. Over 130k invested. Over 80k just in parts. Reserve is realistic for this high-caliber six-figure build. Clear title in hand. No issues. |
