Description of 1961 Chevrolet Impala

Been in garage storage for 20-25 years? All original trim. original interior. 283 V8. auto trans. power brakes. This is very restorable car and perfect to build a lowrider car. It is a project car and needs total restoration. Fuel system has been reworked with new hoses. new fuel pump and new gas tank. Engine appears to have never been rebuilt. It starts up and runs pretty good considering its age. it ticks some because a exhaust leak. it doesn't smoke that much out of the exhaust. Transmission engages in forward reverse and I've driven the car around the yard. but I've never tried taking it on the highway. The brake need to be rebuilt. you have to pump them to get them to work. Body has rust in the typical places. quarters. bottom of doors. rockers. etc. trunk floor is solid. Body is straight with original paint and doesn't appear to ever have been wrecked. Doors. hood and trunk all open and shut good. Looks like somebody repaired the rear floor pans at one time and replaced the carpet years ago. Has all original interior. radio is missing. Overall this is a very restorable car with clean title.
